She steps back, with uncertainty filling her delicate features.
"I'm sorry Lieutenant..." She states in a shaky voice. Those full red lips tremble slightly. She turns to leave. My heart screams out in pain.
"Don't..." I beg. "Please, stay." My heart sings with joy as she turns back towards me. I swallow hard before continuing. "You kissed me. Why?"
"It felt appropriate. I wanted to." Her voice is cold but her words warm me.
"But... We..." I shake my head trying to clear it. It's no use. I reach out to touch her face. Those lovely blue eyes looks at me expectantly.
I kiss her. I savour the taste of her lovely lips and I growl with pleasure as she kisses me in return. My lungs burn as I'm forced to break the kiss.
"I've wanted to do that ever since I saw you..." I gasp. I'm rewarded with the most beautiful smile I've ever seen.
"So have I. I love you B'Elanna." She loves me!
"I love you too."
