The Epic Proportions challenge opens on the 31st December 2008 with a closing date of 5th April the following year. The aim of the challenge is to prompt longer stories and, dare we hope, epics from the femslash world. And this year we're also opening the challenge to the video and graphics creators out there. All fandoms adhering to the site's rules and regulations are welcome, as are original tales, so long as they conform to the following guidlines:
Stories
• Minimum of 20,000 words.
• Any fandom, pairing and rating - so long as they don't contravene the site rules.
• Femslash. That means the focus should be on the lesbian characters and/or relationship.
• All stories should be new and not previously archived elsewhere (this means that the first time it appears on-line should be as part of the Epic Proportions update to P&P)
• No incest. No underage sex. No depictions of rape or child abuse. No real people.
• Beta read.
Videos
• Minimum of 15 minutes in length - whether as a single video or video series.
• Video series should be strongly connected by theme or storyline.
• Any fandom, pairing and rating - so long as they don't contravene the site rules.
• Femslash. That means the focus should be on the lesbian characters and/or relationship.
• All videos should be new and not previously archived elsewhere (this means that the first time it appears on-line should be as part of the Epic Proportions update to P&P)
• No pornography.
Graphics
• Minimum of 10 wallpapers or large graphics.
• Graphics should be part of a series strongly connected by theme or storyline.
• Batches of 15 icons equal one wallpaper or large graphic - you can mix and match.
• Any fandom, pairing and rating - so long as they don't contravene the site rules.
• Femslash. That means the focus should be on the lesbian characters and/or relationship.
• All graphics should be new and not previously archived elsewhere (this means that the first time it appears on-line should be as part of the Epic Proportions update to P&P)
• No pornography.
To sign up for the challenge you need to send an e-mail to me at ralst31@gmail.com including your author name, fandom and media type, and a joke. Okay, the joke is optional. Your name will then be entered into the table below.

Either Scribbs or Ash used to be a witch but for whatever reason decided to live as a Muggle (Ash's family may have been afraid of Volemort's rise to power or Scribbs may have failed to become an Auror and became a Muggle detective instead). Ash probably went to school around the time of Voldemort's rise to power, or Scribbs would have been a 6th or 7th year when Harry Potter weakened him. Whomever is the magical one is related to someone in the wizard world, say Ash is related to Professor McGonagal or Snape, or Scribbs is related to Professor Trelawnie or Rita Skeeter. There is something going on in Hogwarts that goes back to the time of when either Ash or Scribbs was there, which may be the only reason why they agree to go back. The other one, the nonmagical one gets tired of how secretive the magical one is and follows the magical one to King's Cross and is reluctantly allowed to go with. Together they solve the mystery that is in Hogwarts. Extra points for: "I never thought I would be in one of these again", Scribbs and/or Ash undercover as DADA Professor of the year, the nonmagical one having a runin with Moaning Myrtle, a non Ash/Scribbs pairing (say Scribb/Tonks or something). |
| Erin Griffin | Any Fandom | So the Video Challenge goes as thus: Take your favorite fandom and ''Grease" it up. Must use Summer Lovin', Hopelessly Devoted, Sandra D, Greased Lighting, You're The One That I Want, There Are Worst Things I Could Do, and Beauty School Drop Out. You can use any or all of the others if you want. So, pick a pairing you like, assign your Sandy, your Danny, your Pink Ladies, and have fun. |
Sign ups will remain open throughout the length of the challenge, so don't worry if you've come to this a little later than most. All finished stories should be submitted on or before the closing date and include a synopsis and story rating.
