Do you remember your first introduction to fan fiction?
I was introduced to fan fiction while I was still embroiled in my anime psychosis. A friend sent me something that I "just had to read," and I was hooked from then on.
What main character that you've written femslash for, would you most like to hit upside the head?
Oh, why would you hit them upside the head? They're just so pretty...Really though, some of the characters from my anime fiction days were so boy crazy that I wanted to beat them with a stick.
Is your fan fiction writing limited to femslash or do you also write gen, het or male slash? If so, is there a difference in style or content (besides the obvious) between them?
I would cry if I had to write anything other than femslash.
Have you ever been tempted to write a Mary Sue?
I don't think so, but I don't remember everything I've written, so that's entirely possible.
Are there certain genres you find easier to write for?
Not really. I write about whatever strikes my fancy at the moment.
Do you research subjects before you write them and, if so, in how much detail?
Oh, of course. I'll usually re watch episodes of the fandom to review canon because mistake in canon make me want to scream.
What's your preferred length of story to write and read?
Most of my stories are somewhere in the low thousands and I usually won't submit one until it's at least a thousand. I'll read pretty much any story length, but I prefer not to read drabbles.
Can you touch the tip of your nose with your tongue?
I can touch my nose AND my chin. I can also lick my elbow. Aren't I fantastic?
Are you, yourself, a fan of other fan fic writers and, if so, who are they and what is it about them that appeals to you?
Yes, I'm a fan of a few writers, but I'd rather not mention who lest they get a big head about it. I pretty much adore anyone that writes good fluff.
Ever wanted to head butt another fan for dissing your pairing?
Not really. I've had people diss my pairing, but I've never wanted to actually injure them.
Do you have a favourite cliché, one that you'll read with joy even though it's been done to death?
Probably, but I can't think of one now.
Would you lend me twenty pence if we were stuck at Charing Cross station and I was dying for the loo?
I have no idea why I'd be at Charing Cross station in the first place, but I would definitely lend you the twenty pence.
If you've written real person slash how does it differ from writing about fictional characters?
I've never written real person slash and probably never will.
Do you find you're more inspired by subtext, maintext or barely there text shows?
Definitely subtext. Maintext leaves too little to the imagination, barely there text is a bit of a strain, but subtext it juuuust right. Have you got any porridge you'd like me to try out?
Where do you get your inspiration for specific stories; missing or extended scenes from the show, ideas from other shows or real life situations?
I enjoy writing missing scenes, but most of my inspiration comes from things that I wish would happen to me. I'm delightfully insane.
Do you like cheese?
It depends. I kind of go back and forth when it comes to cheese. Monterey Jack, sharp cheddar, and cottage cheese are wonderful though.
Every read over one of your stories months or years later and thought 'What the hell was I thinking!'
Sadly yes. Those are under a different pen name on different archives though, so don't worry about coming across any of them.
Why do you write fan fiction?
Well when I read anything, I use it as an escape from my life, so I suppose I write it to supply others with an escape of their own.
