How Reese Found Out
By carpesomediem

"You must be Reese."

Never in a million years did Reese Williams think she'd come face-to-face with the young woman standing at the door to Bianca's penthouse. She knew Bianca had been seeing someone; she knew it was someone from her past and truth be told, Reese figured it was Lena.

"Well, don't be a stranger, come on in," Maggie Stone threw the door open and held her arm out inviting Reese in. She's shorter than I imagined, Reese thought not really having time to process the revelation that Bianca had reconciled with the love of her life.

"I see you've met Maggie," Bianca said curtly, drying her hair with a towel.

"Uhm, yeah," Reese really didn't know what to say. She was holding Gabrielle close to her chest, not sure what to do or say. "It's nice to meet you."

"I'd love to say the same-"

"-Maggie!" Bianca interjected before the brunette said anything else. "Here, let me take Gabrielle-"

"-I'm sure you have better things to do than stand around in Bianca's penthouse," Maggie said nonchalantly as Bianca took Gabrielle from Reese.

"Maggie," Bianca scolded, slapping her shoulder lightly as she walked by. "Can you knock it off?"

"I can't help it!" Maggie whined. "She brings it out in me."

"I can see you two are… Uh, well, yeah, I'm going to go," Reese pointed towards the door.

"That's probably a good…" Maggie was cut off by Bianca's free hand around her mouth.

"I'll call you tomorrow," Bianca said with a half-smile. "We'll arrange the play date in the park for next weekend."

"All right, then," Reese said. "I'll see myself out." With that, she headed towards the door, closing it behind her. She rolled her head back against it, closing her eyes and sighing. As if this joint custody could be any worse, she thought morosely before taking off.

"That went extremely well." Maggie broke away and grinned in triumph as soon as the door was closed. "I'd say on a scale of one to ten, I made her about a 2200 in uncomfortable."

"Do you have no tact at all?" Bianca asked. "I mean, I hadn't even told her, yet. You weren't even supposed to be here this early. I think you planned this…"

"And what if I did?" Maggie challenged.

"Then, I love you even more for it," Bianca swooped down and kissed Maggie gently before pulling away and smiling.
