The Setup

"You know...this doesn't look good."

"What do you mean? Because you and I are sharing a room?" Sabrina asked her lover.

"Yes. Kris and Bosley are going to be suspicious," a worried Kelly explained.

Shaking her head, Sabrina disagreed, "No, they're not. Now, if there was only one bed in here, they may have questioned if we'd be comfortable sleeping together, but even then, there wouldn't be any reason for them to think we're anything more than friends."

"Well, just in case, I think we should sleep in separate beds," Kelly stated as pulled her suitcase on the bed to begin the process of unpacking.

"What? You're kidding, right?" Sabrina asked in a raised voice.

Walking toward the dresser, Kelly replied, "Bree, you know how Kris is. She'll probably be in our room most of the time."

"With a beachfront room? I don't think so. I purposely chose this room when I reserved the others because it's on the other end of the resort and away from theirs. I thought we could spend some quality time together. Besides, Kris won't be able to resist the allure of the beach."

"Quality time, huh? I know better than that. You just want to make me your love slave," Kelly replied with a smile.

Crossing the room, Sabrina wrapped her arms around her lover from behind and asked, "What's wrong with that?"

"Not a damn thing," Kelly answered in a low voice as she turned in Sabrina's arms.

Smiling, both women slowly leaned in until contact was made. Soft moans were emitted as Sabrina directed the couple towards the closest bed.

Hours later, a soft knock sounded on the door, rousing the two sleeping women. Sabrina's eyes popped open when she finally got her bearings, and she quickly jumped from the bed.

Kelly sat up and began to look around frantically for something to put on, and Sabrina tossed her lover her clothing. Snatching the items from the bed, Kelly ran into the nearby bathroom leaving Sabrina to deal with their visitor.

The knock sounded again, only this time a little louder, and Sabrina quickly threw on a shirt and a pair of shorts and reached over to pull the covers up on the bed. On her way to the door, she noticed a plug-in room freshener so she gave it a quick push to release the vanilla scented fragrance.

Unlocking the deadbolt and chain, she opened the door to reveal both Kris and Bosley. The two immediately stepped into the room as Sabrina followed behind apologizing for the delay.

"Sorry. I was taking a nap, and I guess Kelly is taking a shower." Glancing at her watch, she added, "I thought we were supposed to meet in Bosley's room at four after we'd had a chance to unpack and rest."

Looking around the room and spotting the suitcase sitting next to the dresser, Kris noted, "Well, I guess you went straight to the resting part since your suitcase is still packed."

"It is? I mean, I know. I had a bit of a headache, and Kelly offered to unpack my things. Maybe she decided to take a shower first," Sabrina offered.

"I'm sure that's it," Kris answered with a smile and a wink.

Bosley, oblivious to the exchange, said, "The timetable has changed; we need to leave the hotel an hour earlier to meet with Mr. Hudson. I'm going to go arrange for a car, and I'll meet you in the lobby in thirty minutes."

The second the door closed, Kris turned to a nervous Sabrina and explained, "I've known about you and Kelly for months now, and I've been waiting for one of you to say something to me. Just for the record, I'm not upset or appalled. I'm happy for you two, but if you want to keep Bosley out of the loop, you're going to have to be more careful."

Red-faced, Sabrina asked, "What do you mean?"

Grinning, Kris replied, "Sabrina, even a clueless Bosley will eventually start to pick up on things. I'm kind of surprised he didn't notice that you're wearing Kelly's shirt or that Kelly's underwear is sitting on the pillow where you just supposedly took your nap."

"How do you know those are Kelly's and not mine?" A flustered Sabrina asked, looking down to confirm that she did indeed have on her lover's shirt.

"Because I've been lingerie shopping with you both, and you always buy beige," Kris reported with yet another grin.

"What's wrong with beige?" Sabrina asked with her hands on her hips, ready to defend her color choice.

"Nothing, but the underwear on your pillow is red, and Kelly loves red and black underwear," the astute investigator replied.

Their conversation was interrupted when the door to the bathroom swung open revealing a towel clad Kelly, and Sabrina immediately chastised her lover for being scantily clothed.

"Kelly! What if Bosley was still here? You'd have given the poor man a heart attack."

"He's seen me in a towel before. Besides, I forgot to bring my underwear into the bathroom, and there's no way I was putting on my jeans without them," Kelly informed the two women.

Kris watched the exchange and noted the way Sabrina's eyes kept sweeping over Kelly's assets, and finally, she said, "Kelly's right. Bosley probably wouldn't have batted an eye at her in a towel, but he may have noticed Sabrina's wandering eye."

Glancing nervously at her lover, Kelly asked, "What?"

Sabrina stepped next to Kelly and took her hand. Kelly looked from their joined hands to a smiling Kris and back again.

"It's okay, Kelly. Kris knows, and she's okay with it." Sabrina told her lover, pulling her into a loose embrace.

The three women chatted about how to broach the subject of the relationship with Bosley while Kelly and Sabrina unpacked and changed their clothes for the meeting with Mr. Hudson. They arrived in the lobby precisely thirty minutes later where they were met at the front entrance by Bosley.

"Charlie called. It seems our services are no longer needed. Mrs. Hudson has come clean with her activities, and she and her husband are going to seek counseling. Charlie wants the three of you to stay the rest of the week and enjoy the beach. I'm going back on the next available flight to take care of some paperwork."

"Um, Bosley? Do you think Charlie would mind if I went to visit Jill instead of staying here?" Kris asked, glancing at the other two angels.

Shaking his head, Bosley replied, "I don't think that would be a problem. Why don't you get your things, and you can ride to the airport with me."

Kris quickly said her good-byes to the other two women and hurried to the elevator while Sabrina and Kelly bid their farewell to Bosley before deciding to return to their room.

Opening the door, Sabrina remarked, "I can't believe our luck. We've been trying to figure out a way to take a vacation for months, and one just dropped into our laps."

Smiling, Kelly replied, "I know, isn't it wonderful? What do you say we continue our activities from earlier, now that we don't have to be anywhere in particular?"

"I thought you'd never ask," Sabrina said as she reached for her lover.

In the downstairs lobby, Kris met up with Bosley, and the two gave the chauffeur their luggage before climbing into the limo.

"This was a wonderful idea, Bosley. Those two would have never asked to go on vacation together. Now that they know I know about their relationship; it will be much easier for them when you and Charlie find out," Kris said as the car pulled away from the curb.

"Actually, this was all Charlie's idea. He set this whole thing up including using Mr. Hudson as a client. He's always looking out for his angels."
