PART 1

Scud pulled the car to the front of the resort and put it in park. He quickly exited the car and walked around to the back. He opened the door, extending his hand to the woman inside. Amy smiled as she took his hand and allowed him to help her out of the car. She stood and waited as he extended his hand to Lucy. The brunette looked at him, raising an eyebrow.

"Are you serious?" she questioned, pushing his hand away.

He smiled down at her. "Sorry, I was just trying to be nice to the future Mrs. and Mrs...uh.." He paused in thought. He arched his eyebrow as Lucy stepped out of the car. "Who's taking whose last name?"

Lucy and Amy exchanged glances then returned their attention to Scud. "She's taking mine." they said in unison as they turned their attention to one another again.

Scud pressed his lips together, his brow raising for a moment. "Okay, guess that one still needs to be discussed." he replied, slowly as he pointed to the back of the car. "On that note, I'll get the bags." He quickly walked passed them to the back of the car.

Lucy wrapped her arm around her fiance's waist. "I thought we agreed you were going to be a Reynolds?" she questioned as Amy bit her lip, shrugging slightly.

"I kinda thought Lucy Bradshaw sounded better." she replied, with a small smile.

"I don't think so." Lucy replied, returning her smile. She pulled Amy closer. "I asked you, remember?"

"Yeah, but.."

"No, but's." Lucy stated, putting her finger over her lips. "My last name. You promised."

Amy sighed. "Okay, okay.." She gently touched her lover's face. "You win. I'll be Amy Reynolds." She made a face. "It just sounds so.."

"Perfect." Lucy finished as Amy smiled brightly at her.

"Yeah, it kinda does." She leaned in giving Lucy a soft kiss. She pulled back slowly, looking into her eyes. "You always win."

Lucy shrugged. "Sometimes." She looked up at the building in front of her. "I didn't win when it came to the wedding plans."

"Lucy.."

"I'm just saying, we could have gotten married back home."

"I know, but my parents wanted to do this for us." Amy explained. "My mom always wanted to give me the wedding I've always dreamed of."

"I could have given you that too." Lucy pouted, holding her tightly. "We could afford anything."

"I know, baby." Amy wrapped her arms around her, running her fingers gently up and down her neck. "My parents just wanted to help. Let's give them that much, okay?"

Lucy sighed, giving in. "Okay, fine. I just hope your mother doesn't decide to take over and make you all crazy in the process."

"She won't."

Lucy let out a loud, short laugh as Amy narrowed her eyes at her.

"She won't! She promised she would behave."

Lucy shook her head, raising her eyebrows. "Okay, if you say so."

She remembered when Amy's parents came to visit them in Barcelona. Her mother was an interior decorator so as soon as she arrived at their home, she was already thinking of new ways to change the decor. Her parents approved of Lucy, but she didn't approve of the way they chose to have their home. After three days of going over what they had done wrong, Amy had turned into a completely different person. She was angry and snappy. She was down right vicious at times. All because of her mother.

"Bags ready to go and heavy as hell." Scud stated, motioning his head toward the doors. "Ready to go check in?"

Lucy took Amy's hand in her own, smiling softly at her as they entered the resort. Lucy looked around at the lobby of the resort. There was a fountain in the middle of the room surrounded by plush couches and chairs. Her eyes scanned the area noticing the expensive paintings on the walls and the crystal chandlers hanging above her head. Amy tugged on her hand, bringing her from her thoughts.

She pulled Lucy close to whisper in her ear. "Stop casing the place." she teased as Lucy shot her a look.

"Very funny." the brunette replied as Amy chuckled.

They walked up to the front desk. A very stiff looking man raised his head from the computer screen he was studying. "Hello, Ladies, welcome to the Coronado Resort. How can I be of assistance?"

"We're here to check in." Amy replied, wrapping her arm around Lucy's waist as the brunette began flipping through a book on the counter. "Lucinda Reynolds, Amy Bradshaw, and Scott Bradley."

Scud made a face. He leaned closer to Lucy. "Did she have to give them my real name?" he whispered.

Lucy turned to him. "Do you honestly think I wanted to be listed under Lucinda? Deal with it." She gave him a quick smirk then returned her attention to the book.

The man looked down at the screen again, typing in their names. "Ah, yes. Our exclusive wedding guests." he replied, continuing to type. "Just give me one minute and I'll have all your information."

"Thank you." Amy turned to Lucy who was still looking through the book. She gently rubbed her back. "What are you reading?"

She glanced at her for a moment then returned her attention to the book. "Just seeing that this place is all about." She pointed at one of the pages. "Some of the rooms have hot tubs." She smirked, raising her eyebrows. "That could be fun."

Amy laughed and nudged her. "Save it for the honeymoon."

Lucy made a face. "Why?"

Amy shook her head, releasing another small laugh as she rolled her eyes at her. She returned her attention to the man before them as he prepared to speak once again.

"Okay, ladies. Here are your keys." He slid two key cards toward them. "Miss. Reynolds, you and Mr. Bradley are in room 2213. Miss Bradshaw, you are in room 2220."

"Woah, wait a second." Lucy interjected, raising her hand. "Why are we in separate rooms?"

"We're supposed to be in the same room." Amy added.

"But, it says here that your reservations were made for separate rooms." he explained, checking the screen again. "Yes, here it is, a Mrs. Bradshaw requested it."

Amy's jaw dropped. "My mom told you to put us in separate rooms?"

"Yes, Miss."

Lucy turned to her fiance. "Why would she do that?"

Amy shrugged. "I don't.."

"Amy, sweetheart!" a voice called out, interrupting her in mid sentence.

The women turned to see Amy's mother coming toward them, her arms extended. "Mom." Amy greeted, tilting her head to the side. "Just the person I want to talk too.."

PART 2

"Oh, sweetheart, it so good to see you!" Grace Bradshaw gushed as she pulled her daughter into a tight hug.

"Yeah, Mom, it's good to see you too, but we need.." she replied as her mother moved back, placing her hands on her face. She squished Amy's cheeks together. "..to talk." The blonde's words were muffled at the force of her mother's grasp.

"You are so beautiful." she complimented, turning to Lucy. "Isn't she beautiful?"

Lucy nodded in agreement. "Gorgeous." she agreed, glancing at Scud. Her eyes widened as Scud waved his hand. He turned and walked away, ignoring the help us look Lucy was giving him. She narrowed her eyes at his retreating form as she felt herself being pulled into a hug as well, unable to stop it.

"Lucinda! It's so good to see you again!" Grace stated, hugging her tightly.

"Uh, Grace.." Lucy began, feeling her air being cut off at the grip her future mother-in-law had on her. "I thought we agreed you were going to start calling me Lucy?"

Grace leaned back, leaving a hold on Lucy's shoulders. "Right. I'm sorry. It's just.." She reached up, gripping Lucy's chin. "Lucinda is so much prettier."

Lucy glanced at Amy from the corner of her eye. Her gaze was begging Amy to request that her mother let go of her face. "Mom, come on, let her go." she requested, taking hold of her hand. She slowly removed it from Lucy's face, laughing inwardly as Lucy shifted her jaw. She held her mother's hands in her own, looking into her eyes. "Mom, why are Lucy and I in separate rooms?"

Her mother looked confused for a second. "Honey, it's the rules of marriage. The bride and the.." She glanced at Lucy, slowly moving her head from side to side. "Well, in this case, the bride...can't be together before they are married."

Amy's jaw dropped slightly. "Mom, you can't be serious?"

Grace nodded. "Oh, I'm completely serious. It's tradition."

"This is not exactly what you would call a traditional wedding, Mom. I think we can bend the rules."

Her mother shook her head, raising her hand to gently touch her daughter's face. "I wouldn't hear of it." Her mother turned to find her father without a word.

Amy watched her leave. Her face registered shock. "You wouldn't.." she began, the tone of her voice raising as the frustration started to settle in.

Lucy grabbed her arm, pulling her close. "Baby, relax." she whispered, holding her close. "It's okay." She turned Amy's face so she was looking at her. "We can spend a few nights apart."

"But, I don't want too."

"Neither do I, but you know you can't argue with her."

Amy sighed, feeling defeated. She raised her hand to her forehead. "She promised she wouldn't do this." she stated, closing her eyes for a moment. She opened them to see Lucy staring back at her, concern covering her features. "You were right. Once again." The blonde's face saddened. "God, can you imagine what the rest of this is going to be like?"

Lucy frowned. "Well, whatever she tries to pull, we'll handle together." She touched her face lightly, giving her a soft, loving smile. "It'll be fine."

"You promise?" Amy questioned, her face softening slightly.

Lucy traced her fingers gently down the side of her face. "I promise."

Amy's father, Jake Bradshaw, a restaurant owner and her sister Taylor arrived shortly after her mother. After finding Scud, the group finished their check in and went up to their rooms to unpack. Lucy placed the key card into the lock as Scud followed closely behind her.

"Thanks for bailing on us." she said, glancing at him over her shoulder.

Scud waved his hand. "Do you honestly think I was going to sit there and listen to her ONCE AGAIN tell me why I should go by Scott and not Scood as she calls me?" He shook his head. "No thank you."

Lucy rolled her eyes as the light turned from red to green. She pushed the door open and walked inside. The room was huge. They could have fit their bedroom back home in just one tiny corner of the room. Scud immediately called the bed closest to the bathroom. As they walked in further, Lucy noticed the hot tub near the sliding glass doors. She sighed.

"Figures." she muttered, tossing the key card on a table.

"What's that?" Scud questioned, throwing his suitcase on the bed.

Lucy shook her head. "Nothing. Just enjoying the irony." she replied as she sighed again and walked over to her bed to unpack...

After settling in, the group met downstairs for dinner. Amy sat next to Lucy, across from her parents. Lucy turned to her, concerned at the fact that her fiance already looked completely drained. She reached under the table, resting her hand on Amy's leg. The blonde turned her attention to her, giving her a weak smile.

"What's wrong?" Lucy asked, in a low tone.

"My room is joined to hers." Amy replied, in a harsh whisper. "She said she wants to make sure I'm available to her so we can discuss every, little detail." She exhaled angrily. "I think she just wants to make sure I don't sneak off to be with you in the middle of the night."

Lucy chuckled lightly. She rubbed her leg, comforting her. "Well, my room does have a hot tub." she noted, flashing her an adorably sexy look.

Amy smiled fully for the first time that night. "Don't tempt me." she replied as the sound of a fork clinking against a glass brought their attention back to Amy's parents.

Her father had his glass raised. "To my daughter and her beautiful future wife." he toasted, winking at both of them.

Everyone raised their glasses except for Taylor who was too interested in what song was playing on her iPOD. Amy flashed her sister a look, but was ignored. Finally, her mother nudged her. Taylor rolled her eyes and lifted her drink. She plastered a fake smile on her face causing Lucy's brow to furrow. As everyone toasted the future married couple, and took their drinks, Lucy leaned into Amy.

"I don't think your sister likes me."

Amy swallowed her drink and patted her leg. "It's not you. Taylor doesn't like anyone." she replied, putting her glass down. "Sometimes it surprises me that we're related."

"Yeah.." Lucy replied, slowly as she glanced at the youngest Bradshaw again. Taylor had already returned her attention to her iPOD. "Are you sure it's not just me?"

Amy laughed. "I'm positive, honey." she assured her. "Now, eat before my mom comes over here and force feeds you."

Lucy laughed lightly as they started their meal.

The conversation around them went from how the trip was, to the wedding plans, to the wedding guests. Lucy kept one hand on Amy's leg, trying to keep her calm as her mother threw her 'suggestions' and her 'ideas'. The worst was when she told Amy that her cousins had now become part of the wedding party.

"Mom, I told you I didn't want a huge line of people leading me down the aisle." Amy reminded, feeling Lucy grip her thigh under the table. She took in a deep breath. "I already have Max and Janet. That's all I want."

"But, sweetie, your Cousin Jessie will be so disappointed." her mother frowned.

Amy grunted, her elbow hitting the table hard as she pressed her hand into her forehead. Her father caught the frustration his daughter was being put through. Music began to fill the restaurant and couples started to raise themselves from the tables. He wiped his mouth and placed his napkin on the table.

"Come on, Grace, let's dance." he requested, pushing his chair out. He stood, holding his hand out to his wife.

"Honey, we have a lot of planning to do." she replied, looking up at her husband.

"Grace, we just got here." He took his wife's hand in his own and pulled her from her seat. "Let's enjoy our first night. Give the girls a break, huh?"

Grace sighed. "Fine. Fine." She stood from her chair, looking at Amy once again. "Tomorrow, we have a lot to discuss. We're meeting with the wedding planner at eleven am." Her voice faded in the distance as her husband pulled her onto the dance floor.

Amy waved her off as she disappeared in the crowd of people. The blonde brought both hands to her face. "I'm going to kill her. I swear to you, I am going to kill her."

Lucy couldn't help but laugh. "Breathe, honey. Just breathe." Lucy assured her, rubbing her back gently. She turned her attention to Amy's parents. They danced close to one another. Jake, Amy's father, was obviously trying to convince her to back off a little. "Your father is so cool."

Amy looked up at her parents. "He's great." she agreed, smiling as her father whispered something in her mother's ear causing her to laugh. "God, I wish I knew his secret for making her a normal human being."

Lucy looked at her. "Well, maybe he'll teach it to you one day." she said, standing from her chair as well. She extended her hand to her. "Future Mrs. Reynolds.." She took Amy's hand, kissing it gently. "Would you like to dance?"

Amy smiled brightly at her. "I would love too." she replied, standing from her chair and walking out on the dance floor with her lover...

PART 3

Lucy and Amy walked down the hall toward Amy's room, hand in hand. They stopped in front of Amy's door. She turned to the brunette, holding both of her hands with her own. She pouted slightly. Lucy released her hand, gently placing one finger underneath her fiance's chin.

"What's wrong?" she asked, mocking the blonde's pout.

Amy stomped her foot. "I don't want to sleep in a different bed from you." she whined, causing Lucy to laugh lightly.

"It's only for a little while." she told her. She moved closer, wrapping her arms around her waist. "After this, we'll be spending the rest of our lives in the same bed."

Amy continued to pout, looking away for a moment. She craned her neck to look down the hall then returned her attention to Lucy. A slow, seductive smile crossed her lips as she rested her hands on the brunette's shoulders. "You know, my dad is probably going to keep my mom distracted for the next few hours." She slipped her hands around, resting them on the back of Lucy's neck. She motioned her head to the side. "Why don't you come in for a bit?"

Lucy smiled, moving even closer. "Isn't that against the rules?" She leaned in toward her. "I mean, we're supposed to be apart until the wedding."

Amy leaned closer. "Haven't you ever done anything you're not supposed to do?" she whispered, a smirk across her lips.

Lucy's eyes narrowed at her own words being thrown back at her. "Very cute."

Amy shrugged. "I try."

Lucy leaned in, taking her lover's lips with her own. Amy pulled her close, feeling Lucy's body press against her own. The brunette gripped her waist, backing her into the wall. Amy deepened the kiss, smiling at the small moan she received in return for her efforts. Lucy's lips moved from her lips to her neck. Amy's eyes closed tightly as she gripped the back of Lucy's neck.

"Baby, please.." she whispered as Lucy softly ran her tongue against her neck. The blonde gasped, pulling her even closer.

"Great! Just what I wanted to see before I go to bed." a voice remarked, causing them to jump apart.

Lucy looked down, running her hand over her mouth. Amy narrowed her eyes. "Taylor.." Amy breathed as her sister raised her hand, stopping her.

"I'm not going to tell Mom." she stated, taking her headphones out of her ears. She placed them in her pocket and pulled her key card out. "Excuse me." She shot Lucy a look before pushing passed them to get to her room. "Hetero coming through."

Amy huffed at her comment as her younger sister opened her door to let herself in. She gave her older sister one last look before shaking her head and closing the door behind her. Amy rolled her eyes to the ceiling then returned her attention to Lucy. She flashed her an apologetic look.

Lucy waved it off. "It's okay." She pointed toward the door. "I told you she didn't like me."

"It's not you." Amy assured her, smiling softly. Her smiled quickly returned to her previous pout. "I guess I should let you go."

"I guess so." Lucy took her hand, admiring the ring she had given her. She looked up, staring into her deep blue eyes. "I'll see you in the morning."

Amy nodded, leaning in to give her a soft kiss good-bye. She raised her hand to touch Lucy's face before pulling back slowly. "I love you."

"I love you." Lucy kissed her again then turned to walk down the hall toward her room....

"No, no, that's all wrong."

"Mom, it's not your wedding!"

"I know, sweetie, but that color.." Grace shuddered. "It's God awful!"

Amy grunted, slamming her head down on the table. Lucy hesitated before walking into the meeting room. She could hear the shouting all the way down the carpeted hall leading to the room. She pressed her lips together as she slowly entered. The minute she stepped in, all the attention was suddenly on her.

"Well, good morning." Grace greeted, waving for her to come in. She looked at her watch then back at Lucy. "You're a little late."

Amy raised her head, turning it to look at Lucy. Lucy stopped in mid step at the sight of her fiance. She looked completely drained. The expression on her face was basically requesting that Lucy come save her. Either that, or she was silently asking if they could just elope and forget all of this. Lucy pushed her hands into her pockets and walked toward the three women sitting around a table full of photos and books.

"Sorry, I was a little wound up last night and had a hard time falling asleep." she explained, flashing a suggestive grin. When Amy smiled, she felt a little better about joining them. "I guess I overslept." She sat down next to Amy, immediately resting her hand on her leg.

Amy smiled weakly at her, placing her hand on top of Lucy's. "It's okay..You didn't miss anything." she said, gripping Lucy's hand. "But, just to fill you in..everything we've decided on for our wedding is completely wrong." She turned to her mother. "Is that right? Did I leave anything out?"

Graced rolled her eyes. "Amy, you're being irrational."

Amy placed her hand on her chest. "I'm being irrational??"

"Ladies, ladies, please." the wedding planner pleaded, holding her hands out between them. "I'm sure we can come to some sort of compromise."

"There shouldn't have to be a compromise!" Amy snapped. "It's my wedding."

"Our wedding." Lucy corrected as Amy quickly turned to her. She moved back at the look on her fiance's face.

Amy narrowed her eyes. "Don't you start with me too." she hissed, pulling her hand away from Lucy.

"Baby, I'm not starting with you. You just need to calm down. We can work this out."

Amy shook her head, frustrated. "You want me to calm down? Okay, I'll calm down." She stood up, pushing her chair back forcefully. She turned to walk out of the room.

Lucy turned in her chair. "Where are you going?"

Amy turned to look at her. "I need air." She pointed to her mother. "And I need to be away from her." She looked at Lucy. "And you." She turned on her heels and walked out of the room.

Lucy's jaw dropped. "What the hell did I do?"

"You spoke, dear." Grace told her as Lucy turned her attention to her future mother in law. The woman started flipping through books of weddings the planner had done previously.

Lucy shot her a look. "Well, excuse me for trying to be the voice of reason in your mother daughter drama." she replied, sarcastically as she stood from her chair and walked out of the room after Amy...

Lucy searched the lobby for Amy, but there was no sign of her. She walked as fast as she could through the lobby and out of the resort. She finally found Amy sitting by the poolside bar. She sighed, relieved as she walked toward her. Amy had already ordered a drink and was doing her best to get it down quickly.

"Hey.." Lucy greeted, shyly as Amy glanced at her briefly before turning her attention away. The brunette rolled her eyes as she reached out and pulled out the bar stool next to her. She sat down, clasping her hands together. "I'm sorry."

Amy turned to her. "Do you even know what for?"

Lucy shook her head. "No, not really, but if it makes you not mad at me anymore then I'm sorry."

Amy exhaled heavily, running her finger along the rim of her glass. "No, I'm sorry." she said, turning on her stool so she was facing Lucy. "I shouldn't have snapped at you. I know you were just trying to restore order."

Lucy scooted closer. "Amy, I know your mom makes you crazy, but.." She took her hands. "She's just..."

"Controlling, over bearing.." Amy finished.

"I was going for trying to make you happy, but those fit too." Lucy admitted, with a smile. She played with her fiance's hands. "Come back inside."

Amy shook her head. "No, I can't sit there having her say no to everything I say yes too."

"Then we'll say yes together. She can't turn us both down."

Amy let out a loud laugh. "Wanna bet?"

"Baby, it's two against one. And it's our wedding." She touched her chin. "She'll be out voted and there is nothing she can do about that." Lucy pouted. "Please come back inside? The quicker we get through this, the quicker we can start our life together." She looked into her eyes. "That's all that really matters. This planning is just the icing on a very large cake."

"Oh, God, don't even get me started on what she wants to do with the cake."

Lucy laughed, shaking her head. She stood from her stool bringing Amy up with her. "Come on, partner." She pulled Amy close. "Remember, together we can handle anything."

Amy couldn't stop the smile spreading across her face. She nodded in agreement, taking hold of Lucy's hand as they walked back into the resort together...

PART 4

"Oh, hell no!" Max exclaimed, coming out of Amy's bathroom. She pulled up the bottom of the teal dress she was wearing. She quickly pushed it back down. "Please, please tell me you didn't pick this??"

Max and Janet had arrived early that morning. Dominique sent word with them, apologizing for not being able to attend. She had been placed on assignment half way across the world and it was a huge opportunity she couldn't pass up. As soon as they stepped foot in the resort, Grace was rushing them up to Amy's suite to try on the dresses she had picked out. She made sure to let them know it wasn't a final decision, but it was the best decision.

Amy rolled her eyes, running her hand through her hair. "Of course I didn't pick it!" she replied, holding her hands out. "I wanted blue. I still want blue!" She slapped her mattress. "And, damn it, I'm going to have blue!"

"Well, you better because I hate this dress." Max stated, looking at herself in the full length mirror on the back of the bathroom door. She made a face. "It's ugly as all hell."

Janet turned in her dress, studying it in the small mirror over the dresser. "I don't know." She shrugged. "It's not all that bad."

Amy and Max turned to her. Amy huffed as Max scrunched her face. The lead DEB rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to the longer mirror. "I am taking this crap off." she said, going into the bathroom.

"God, please do!" Amy said, putting her hand over her face as the door closed behind Max.

Janet frowned as she walked over to her friend. She sat down on the bed next to her, placing her arm around her shoulders. "Your mom is just trying to help."

"You sound like Lucy." Amy noted, her voice slightly muffled by her hands covering her face. She raised her attention to Janet. "Sometimes.." She paused. "Sometimes I wonder if this is all worth it."

"Of course it's worth it." Janet assured her. "I know I was all weirded out by the whole girl thing, but.." She smiled softly at her. "You and Lucy work. All this drama will be over and then you'll just be happy." She squeezed her shoulders. "And far as hell away from your crazed mother."

"Oh my God! This evil dress will not come off!" Max shouted from the bathroom.

Amy and Janet quickly turned their attention to the bathroom, chuckling lightly. "Hang on, I'll help you!" Janet replied, standing up from the bed.

"Hey, Janet?" Amy called out to her, softly as Janet turned to her. She smiled. "Thanks for being here."

Janet returned her smile. "What are friends for?" she questioned as she turned and walked toward the bathroom. She shook her head at the sound of Max shouting. "Will you hang on?? The woman can take down four huge men at one time, but can't get off a stupid bridesmaid's dress."

Amy laughed at the remark as Janet opened to door to the bathroom and walked inside...

Lucy sat by the pool, watching Scud and Jake decide who could do the better cannonball. She shook her head amazed at how two grown men could act like five year olds in a moments notice. She adjusted in her chair, deciding to focus on her tan. She closed her eyes, settling comfortably into the chair.

"So, why are you gay?" a voice questioned, taking the seat next to her.

Lucy furrowed her brow. She turned her head to the side and opened her eyes to see Taylor sitting next to her. "Excuse me?" she questioned, flashing her fiance's sister a strange look.

"I think you heard me." Taylor replied, crossing her legs on her chair.

Lucy propped herself up on her elbows. "Yeah, I heard you, but I'm not too sure I understood the question."

Taylor rolled her deep blue eyes. She had almost all of Amy's features, except her hair. It was much darker then her older sisters. "I asked you why you are gay?"

"Why are you straight?" Lucy shot back.

Taylor raised an eyebrow. "Um, because I love guys."

Lucy shrugged. "Well, I love girls." She sat up fully. "More importantly, I love your sister."

"Why? Why Amy?"

A confused look covered Lucy's features. "Taylor, what are you getting at?"

Taylor's jaw twitched before she spoke. "My sister was perfectly happy with Bobby. Then you came along and..."

"Taylor, if your sister was happy with Bobby, she wouldn't have gone looking for something more. Your sister is better off without him."

"I liked Bobby. He was super hot..nice, intelligent.."

"Psychotic." Lucy muttered, looking away for a moment.

Taylor leaned in. "What?"

Lucy shook her head. "Nothing." She took in a deep breath then slowly let it out. "Taylor, I know you don't like me, but, for the sake of your sister, do you think you could give me a chance? Get to know me." She gave her a crooked grin. "You just might like me better than him."

Taylor rolled her eyes again. "Doubt it." She sighed. "I guess I could try..for my sister." She looked at Lucy. "But, just so you know, I'm not that easy to get along with."

"Yeah, I've noticed." She bobbed her head from side to side. "But, I'm willing to give it a try...for your sister."

Taylor stared at her for a moment before placing her headphones back in her ear. She raised herself from the chair, glancing at Lucy one last time before turning and walking away. Lucy smiled inwardly. She watched Taylor leave as she shook her head and returned to her comfortable position in her chair....

PART 5

"Johnny, where the hell are you?" Lucy barked into her cell phone. She wondered around her suite looking for something to wear. The entire bridal party was meeting downstairs for brunch, at Grace's request, of course.

"Cuz, calm down alright. I'm right down the street. I should be there in like ten minutes."

Johnny DeMarco, the Jersey Jerk as her family used to call him, was one of Lucy's most arrogant family members. Considering she didn't have much left in the way of family, she had to invite him to be part of her wedding party. The sides had to be even according to Grace. If two people were standing with Amy then two people had to stand with Lucy. There was no other option and Lucy really didn't feel like arguing.

Lucy made a face. "You should have been here yesterday."

"Hey, I got caught up. You know how it is."

"Honestly, I don't want to know how it is." she replied as a light knock was heard against her door. She threw her shirt down on the bed and walked toward it. "Just hurry up. We are meeting for brunch downstairs."

"What the hell is brunch??"

Lucy sighed. "Downstairs. Restaurant is on your left when you walk in." She placed her hand on the door knob. "And Johnny?"

"Yeah.."

"Make sure your shirt is tucked in."

"Jesus, Luce, you're not giving a guy a lot of room to be himself, here."

She rolled her eyes. "Good-bye, Johnny." She flipped her phone closed and opened the door. She smiled at the woman on the other side of it. "Hey, baby." She stepped to the side as Amy walked into the room.

"So glad you got to work on your tan yesterday while I was arguing about why teal is a shitty color." she greeted, giving Lucy a quick kiss as she walked further in.

Lucy smirked, shrugging her shoulder. "Your mother told me I didn't have to be there." she explained, closing the door.

Amy turned to her. "I would have liked you there."

"I'm sorry, sweetie." Lucy replied, walking toward her. She placed her hands on her arms. "Well, if it matters, I talked to your sister."

"Really?" Amy raised an eyebrow.

Lucy nodded. "Yep, she asked me why I was gay..."

"She what?!"

"Calm down, calm down. It's okay." Lucy touched her chin. "It was actually a decent conversation." She walked around her to pick her shirt up from the bed. "I did find out that she loved Bobby and I think that is part of the reason she doesn't like me." She turned to Amy, placing the shirt against her for approval.

Amy made a face and shook her head. "She liked Bobby because she thought he was hot." She walked over to the closet, searching for another shirt. "She doesn't see you that way."

"Hey! I'm hot!" Lucy joked, pouting slightly.

Amy laughed as she pulled another shirt from the closet. "To me, but not to her." She walked over to Lucy, holding the shirt against her. "This is better."

Lucy looked down, raising an eyebrow. "Is this what I can expect from now on? You picking out my clothes?"

"Maybe. Now put it on." she ordered, jokingly as Lucy took the shirt from her.

Lucy smiled seductively, wrapping her arm around her waist. She pulled Amy closer. "Or I can keep it off.. We have about fifteen minutes until we have to be downstairs." She leaned in, kissing her neck.

Amy shivered at the contact, her eyes instantly closing. "We can't..." she stated, unhappily. She pulled back to look at her. "If we aren't down there in the next five minutes, I promise you my cell phone will start ringing."

"Fine..." she breathed as Amy gently touched the side of her face. She slumped her shoulders and turned toward the bathroom. "I guess I'll get dressed then." She pouted again causing Amy to mock her. She narrowed her eyes in a teasing glare and walked toward the bathroom...

Max waited outside the restaurant, checking her watch. She sighed impatiently then crossed her arms against her chest. "I'm always the first one to show up." she muttered, checking her watch again.

Her eyes scanned the room as she noticed a man walking toward her. She pushed herself away from the wall. He was a little unkept, wearing a black sport jacket with an unbuttoned, and un tucked, white shirt underneath it. His brown hair was tousled and he looked unshaven. If she didn't know any better, she would have thought Colin Farrell had walked into the resort.

As he came closer, her eyes widened at the sight of the familiar face. "Johnny DeMarco!" she shouted.

He lifted his head, bringing his full attention to the person screaming his name. His expression mimicked hers. "Aw, shit! A DEB!" he exclaimed, reaching behind his back.

Both he and Max pulled a gun, pointing it directly at one another. At that moment, Amy and Lucy walked around the corner toward the restaurant. Both women took in a loud gasp as they rushed over to the their two wedding guests. Lucy placed her hand on Johnny's chest, lowering his gun. Amy grabbed Max's hand, pushing her back.

"Max, you promised you weren't going to arrest any of our wedding guests!" she reminded, grabbing the gun from her hand.

She looked over Amy's shoulder at the man. "Do you know who that is!?" she questioned, trying to get around Amy. "That is Johnny DeMarco! Big time gangster from Jersey!"

Johnny raised himself so he was looking over Lucy. "Hey! I'm retired!" he replied, loudly as Lucy pushed him down.

Lucy grabbed his face. "Knock it off and put it away." she ordered. "That's one of Amy's bridesmaids." She looked him over. "And didn't I tell you to tuck in your shirt?"

He huffed, a smirk on his face as he tucked in shirt. "I'm never gonna get used to you bein with a DEB." he stated, placing the gun back where it came from.

Amy turned to him. "Hey, I'm retired." she replied, causing him to chuckle. She turned to Max, handing her back her weapon. "That's Lucy's cousin. And the man you are walking with."

Max's jaw dropped as she shook her head. "Uh-uh, no way." she stated as Janet and Scud joined them. "Let Janet do it. I'm not walking with that scum bag."

"Max!" Amy scolded as Janet walked over.

"What's wrong?" Janet asked.

Amy turned to her. "Max is being Max."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean??"

Janet turned to her. "It probably means you're being rude and insulting."

Max's jaw dropped again. "Oh no you didn't!"

The girls started to bicker just as Amy's parents and sister joined them. Grace raised an eyebrow at the scene. She cleared her throat and the bickering stopped. "Is there a problem, ladies?" she inquired as they all shook their heads.

"No, ma'am." Max and Janet responded, looking down at the floor.

Grace looked over them then walked toward Lucy, never taking her eyes off of her daughter and her bridesmaids. She finally turned her attention to Lucy and the man standing behind her. "I don't believe we've met." she said, extending her hand to him. "I'm Grace, Amy's mother. And you are?"

Lucy pointed over her shoulder. "Grace, this is my cousin..."

"Johnny DeMarco." he replied, shaking her hand roughly. He grinned at her. "Or you can call me Johnny D."

"Oh God..." Lucy breathed, placing her hand over her face.

Grace smiled. "Charming." she replied, giving him the once over. She clapped her hands together and looked at everyone. "Okay then. Since everything is seemingly okay here, why don't we all go eat?"

They all nodded in agreement and walked inside the restaurant...

Johnny hurried into the line at the buffet. He checked out the woman in front of him, blowing out a whistle as his eyes examined her. He leaned in, flashing his charming little grin. "Hey, beautiful." he greeted as she turned to him. "And what's your name?"

The girl smiled as she put her plate down and extended her hand. "Taylor." she replied. "I'm Amy's sister."

He took her hand, his grin spreading. "Really?" He leaned down and kissed the back of her hand. His eyes stayed focused on her as he straightened up, never releasing her hand. "I guess hotness runs in the family, eh?"

Taylor smiled shyly at him. "I guess so.."

At that moment, Lucy walked by with Scud. "She's sixteen." she noted as she passed.

Johnny quickly released her hand. "Well, uh, enjoy your brunch, kiddo." he said as he blew out a breath and walked away from her.

Taylor turned narrowing her eyes at Lucy. "Thanks a lot." she snapped as Lucy tossed her a look and joined Amy at the table.

Amy furrowed her brow at the look her sister shot Lucy. She turned to Lucy, watching as the woman took her place next to her. "Why is Taylor giving you the death stare?"

Lucy grinned. "I think I messed up her game." she replied, picking up a piece of fruit from her plate. She offered it to Amy. "Try this. It's really good."

"My sister is sixteen. She doesn't have game yet." She leaned in and took a bite, her eyes staying fixed on the woman in front of her. She swallowed, nodding her head. "That is good."

"Told you." She raised her finger, wiping the juice away from her lover's lips. She brought her finger to her mouth and sucked off the remainder. She leaned closer to her. "How many days of this do we have left?"

Amy held up her hand. "Four." she replied, leaning in to meet her half way. "Then I'm all yours."

Lucy smiled. "Good." She moved closer in an attempt to kiss her.

"Hey, Mom!" Taylor shouted, pulling them apart. She wrapped her arms around her sister and Lucy's neck. "Take a picture of us!"

Lucy narrowed her eyes as Grace pulled out the camera. The three women plastered on smiles as the bulb went off. Lucy widened her eyes, trying to fend off the sudden burst of white dots in front of her eyes. Taylor grinned as she moved back from them, patting Lucy hard on the back as she walked away.

Lucy watched her leave then turned to Amy. "She's evil." she stated as Amy laughed and they continued their meal.....

PART 6

"Just a few days left, sweetie!" Grace gushed as she watched her daughter look through a bridal book. She touched her shoulder. "Are you excited?"

Amy turned to her, a nervous expression on her face. "Uh huh.." she muttered, turning her attention back to the photos.

Grace's brow furrowed as she turned her daughter's attention to her. "What's the matter, dear?"

Amy looked around the tiny room to make sure everyone was involved in something other than listening to her. "Mom, I feel like I'm going to throw up." she admitted. "I mean, I feel like I am going to get up to the alter and throw up. All over Lucy. All over everybody standing there with us.." She sighed again, running a shaky hand through her hair.

Grace smiled. "Aw, honey, it's just nerves. You are making a huge step in your life." She placed both hands on her daughter's shoulders. "And considering who you are marrying, it's even bigger than most."

Amy's expression never relaxed. She looked into her mother's eyes. "I love her, Mom. I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

"I know, sweetie."

"Lucy and I have been together for two years. We know everything there is to know about each other. Why am I so scared?"

Grace studied her daughter for a moment. She reached up, pushing Amy's hair back from her shoulders. "Your hair is longer then I remember."

Amy raised an eyebrow. "Why are you changing the subject?"

"I'm not. I'm just making an observation." She rested her hands on Amy's shoulders again, looking into her eyes. "Sweetie, you're going to be fine. Everyone is scared, or nervous, when they take a big step that will change their lives for ever. It's completely normal to feel this way." She reached up, cupping her chin with her hand. "I would be worried if you weren't scared. Honey, Lucin.." She paused for a moment to correct herself. "Lucy is a wonderful person and you two deserve each other."

Amy smiled as she leaned in and hugged her mother. "Thanks, Mom." She moved back to look at her. "I love you."

"I love you too, sweetie." Grace replied as Amy reached down and grabbed her hands.

"By the way, Mom." Amy said, raising her Mother's hands. "We're going with blue for the bridesmaids." Grace opened her mouth to protest, but Amy placed her finger over her lips. She gave her a mock stern look. "Blue, Mom."

Grace rolled her eyes. "Fine. Blue it is." she agreed as a soft smile formed on her lips.

"Miss. Bradshaw?" the woman behind the counter said, getting both the attention of Amy and her mother. She smiled warmly. "Your dress did arrive. Would you like to try it on?"

Amy took in a deep breath and slowly let it out. "Of course." she replied as she and her mother walked to the dressing room together....

Lucy walked into her suite to find Johnny, Scud, and Jake sitting around the table playing cards. She shook her head, a soft smile covering her lips at the sight of her new family spending time together. Johnny turned when he heard the door open. He leaned back in his chair, laying his cards down on the table.

"Luce! The woman of the hour." he greeted, motioning for her to join them. "Come on, sit. Join us." He patted the empty chair next to him.

Lucy waved him off. "No, you guys go ahead. I'm not up for cards."

"Thank God." Scud breathed, nudging Amy's father. "She is a card shark. We would lose everything."

Lucy raised an eyebrow at the comment. "Okay, I guess I could play one hand."

"That's my girl!" Johnny exclaimed, making room for her at the table.

Scud sighed. "Okay, but could you leave me with something? I plan on taking Janet out after the wedding."

"I'll think about it." Lucy replied as she sat down between Johnny and Scud. She smiled at Amy's father. "I'll be nice to you."

Jake laughed. "I appreciate it."

Johnny started to deal the next hand, a cigar hanging from his lips. "So, Luce, about the bach.." He paused for a moment, turning to her. "What's it called when it's two chicks? A bachelor party or a bachlorette party?"

Lucy watched him deal. "Neither because I'm not having one."

Johnny stopped dealing, slumping his hands on the table. "What? Yes, you are."

Lucy shook her head. "No, I'm not." She motioned for him to deal. "Amy and I agreed. No bachlorette party of any kind."

"That's crap." Johnny shook his head as he started to deal again. "Too bad though cause it's already set up. The wheels are in motion and you can't stop 'em."

Lucy turned to her cousin. "What did you do?"

He looked up at Scud with a grin causing Lucy to turn her attention to her best friend. Scud raised his hands defensively. "I had nothing to do with it." he confessed, picking his cards up quickly to hide his face behind them.

"Johnny, are you trying to get me killed?" she asked.

He laughed. "Nah, I'm just trying to let you have one last blast before you're locked down forever." He held his hand up to Jake. "No offense to your daughter, of course."

Jake waved him off. "None taken." He looked at Lucy over his cards. "Lucy, don't worry. Amy won't kill you. She'll understand that your family wants to do this for you."

Lucy exhaled heavily as she ran her hand through her hair. "You obviously forget that your daughter has a tendency to over react."

He shook his head. "No, I definitely didn't forget. I was trying to make you feel better."

The guys laughed at his comment. Lucy narrowed her eyes. "You know, Jake, I was going to play nice." she stated, grinning at her future Father in law. "But, since you are obviously fueling this fire, I think I'm going to have to take your money."

He raised an eyebrow, grinning at his soon to be daughter in law. "Bring it on." he said as Johnny finished dealing and the game began...

"I thought we agreed, no bachlorette parties of any kind!" Amy exclaimed, pacing her suite.

Lucy watched from the bed as Amy made her way back and forth. "Amy, it wasn't my idea!" she stated. "Johnny.."

"Johnny, of course." Amy huffed as she turned to her fiance. She crossed her arms against her chest. "Are there going to be strippers?"

Lucy swallowed nervously. "I told Johnny no..."

"Yeah, right.." Amy rolled her eyes. She gave Lucy yet another angry glare. "You know, my dad is probably going to be there. Do you even realize how uncomfortable that would be?"

Lucy shook her head. "No, he said he's not coming. He wants to keep your Mom occupied so we can all have a night without her."

"So that makes it okay?"

"No, no, it doesn't.." Lucy lowered her head, running her hands across her face. She looked up to Amy once again. "Amy.."

"Don't Amy me." Amy ordered, looking sternly down at her fiance. "I can't believe you agreed to this."

"I haven't agreed to anything!" Lucy shot back. "I was coming to talk to you about it first." She stood from the bed and walked over to her. She placed her hands on her arms, looking into her eyes. "If you don't want this to happen then it won't happen. End of story."

Amy looked away for a moment then returned her attention to Lucy. Her expression softened as she looked into her lover's eyes. She pointed at her. "No strippers."

Lucy shook her head in agreement, waving her hand in front of her. "No strippers."

Amy sighed. "Okay, have your party. I guess I'll go out with Max and Janet that night. My cousins will be here tomorrow so I guess they can join us."

Lucy smiled, placing her arms around her waist. She pulled Amy closer. "Have I ever told you how much I love you?" she inquired, finally getting Amy to smile.

"Yes, but it would nice to hear again." she replied, placing her arms around her neck.

"How about I just show you?" She leaned in, pausing to smile at her once again, then kissed her future wife softly.....

PART 7

"OW!" Max exclaimed, quickly grabbing her foot. The line of people stopped as she turned angrily to the man next to her. "Where the hell did you learn to walk?? The School for the Mentally Challenged??" She limped away from Johnny and sat down in a chair.

He made a face. "Well, it's not my freakin fault you have such big feet for such a little person!"

"Guys! Seriously, stop!" Scud ordered, looking from one to the other. "Just go back and try it again." He stomped away from them and joined Lucy at the make shift alter.

The brunette pinched the bridge of her nose, lowering her head. "They are going to kill each other." she breathed as Scud rested his hand on her shoulder.

It was the last day of rehearsal. Johnny and Max were still having an issue getting in synch with one another. Amy was already a wreck thinking of what could possibly go wrong. If she witnessed them fighting once again, Lucy wasn't sure exactly what the blonde would do. She would either choke them both or lock them in a room until they learned to get along. It was just too much unnecessary added stress.

"It's going to be okay." he promised as the duo finally made their way down the aisle.

Johnny took his place behind Scud. He shifted his shoulders blowing out a breath. He leaned closer to them. "That bitch is crazy."

Lucy turned to him. "Johnny, please, for me, behave."

"I didn't do nothing." He pointed at Max. "She started it."

Max narrowed her eyes, looking at him from across the alter. "What are you in elementary school?"

Johnny opened his mouth to speak, but Scud stopped him. He pointed from Johnny to Max. "Am I sensing some sexual tension here?" He wiggled his fingers. "Come on, be honest. You two are hot for each other."

They both shot him a disgusted look then turned away. Lucy elbowed Scud in the stomach. "Knock it off."

Taylor was the first to come down the aisle. She pretended to be carrying a basket with flowers. She stopped in mid step, a slightly irritated look covering her face. "I have a question." she stated, placing her hand on her hip as she shifted her weight to her right. "Why am I the flower girl?? I'm sixteen...isn't this the job of a, I don't know, four year old??"

Lucy rolled her eyes, throwing her hands up as she turned to Scud. "If it's not one thing, it's another."

Grace quickly rose from her seat and rushed to her youngest daughter. She grabbed her arm, pulling her close. "Do this for your sister." she requested, sternly.

Taylor rolled her eyes. "Fine."

"And don't roll your eyes at me." Grace told her. "Or I will ground you as soon as we get home. Do you understand?"

"Yeah, yeah. I understand." Taylor pulled herself away from her Mother getting one more stern glare as her mother returned to her seat. She returned to the task at hand. When she was done, she took a seat next to her mother, crossing her arms against her chest in a pouty manner.

Amy was the next to walk down. Lucy watched as she made her way down the aisle with her father. Lucy smiled at the sight of her. Seeing Amy in just a pair of khaki's with a button down white shirt was enough to make her weak. Imagine how she would feel the day she walked down the aisle in her wedding dress. The one she had kept a secret since the day she found it. She could feel her stomach jumped with the thought that in less then two days she would be doing this for real. They would be married and they would be happy.

Jake leaned in to whisper something in her ear. Amy laughed loudly causing Lucy's smile to spread further across her lips. The sound of her happy was the best sound in the world. Jake dropped Amy off in front of Lucy, answering when asked the question of who gives this woman in marriage. He leaned in toward Lucy, smiling at her. "She's all yours." he said, nudging her slightly. "And I want my twenty bucks back."

Lucy laughed, taking Amy's hands in her own. "You lost it fair and square, Jake." she replied as a confused look covered Amy's face.

He touched Lucy's chin and smiled. "Please, call me Dad."

Lucy looked stunned at his request. Amy couldn't help but feel like she was going to cry. "O-okay...Dad."

He winked at her then walked away, taking a seat next to his wife. Lucy watched him for a moment before turning her attention to Amy. She could see the tears building up behind her eyes. She smiled softly, reaching up to wipe a stray one away. She leaned in closer to whisper to her.

"Hey, don't cry. This is supposed to be a happy occasion." she comforted as Amy laughed through her tears.

"I am happy." she replied, reaching up to touch Lucy's face. "I've never been happier."

"Good to know." Lucy pulled her a little closer as the Minister went over the rest of the rehearsal...

The time was growing near. The rest of the wedding guests had arrived and it was time for the partying to begin. Amy and Lucy had agreed to meet in the lobby before their respective parties to see each other one last time before they were married.

"Jesus, when are they gettin here??" Johnny huffed, checking his watch. "I got a room full of males waitin on a party."

Lucy turned to her cousin, placing her hand on his chest. "Relax." she ordered. "I told Amy I would meet her here and we are waiting until she shows up."

Johnny threw his hands up and turned on his heels, starting to pace. "I just wanna go already."

Lucy rolled her eyes. "Just give me a..." Her sentence trailed off as she saw her fiance coming toward them. Her jaw dropped at the sight of her. "Second.."

Amy was wearing a black dress that covered her form perfectly up top and flowed toward the bottom. Her hair was down and wavy, just the way Lucy preferred it. She smiled as she walked toward Lucy with Janet and Max not too far behind.

Max growled at the sight of Johnny before her. He was wearing the same black sport coat, but this time the shirt underneath it was blue. He was still un tucked and unkept. She rolled her eyes at him. "Don't you ever change your outfit?"

Johnny shot her a look. "Don't you ever change your attitude?" he shot back as Lucy stepped in front of him and Amy stepped in front of Max.

"Hey, honey." Amy greeted, giving Lucy a small kiss.

"Amy, you look.." Lucy waved her hand up and down, blowing out a breath. "Beautiful."

Amy smiled at the compliment. She stepped back, taking in her fiance's appearance. Lucy was wearing a black, form fitting button down shirt and low ride black pants. Her hair was down, bangs perfectly in place. "And you look hot for someone who doesn't want to impress any random stripper that happens to show up." she teased as Lucy laughed.

"I told you I said no to the strippers." Lucy reminded.

Johnny's attention perked at his cousin's words. He stepped closer, scratching the back of his head. "Uh, you said no to the strippers?"

Lucy turned to him. "Yes...why?"

He bit his lip sheepishly. "I thought you said the strippers were a go." He drew his brow together. "I kinda made a call."

"Johnny!" Lucy and Amy exclaimed in unison.

He shrugged. "What? It was a simple mistake." He held his hand out. "And, just so you know, they ain't strippers..." He smiled proudly. "They're dancers."

Lucy glared at him as Amy pressed her tongue against her teeth un amused. "Johnny, please, just..shut up." She turned to the blonde, flashing her an apologetic look. "Baby, I had no idea."

Amy nodded, the same expression covering her features. "It's okay."

Lucy lowered her head a bit, never breaking eye contact with Amy. "Are you sure?" she questioned, slowly.

Amy nodded again. "Uh huh." She touched her lover's shoulder. "You should go."

A uncertain feeling washed over the brunette. "I don't have too."

"No, go, have fun."

"O-okay..." She looked into Amy's eyes again. "You're sure?"

Amy forced a smile. "Positive."

Lucy swallowed hard, still unsure of whether or not she should be leaving. She took Amy's hand, pulling her closer. "I love you." she said as Amy bit her lip, nodding quickly.

"Love you." she replied as Lucy gave her a soft kiss. The brunette turned to leave, but Amy called her back. "Hey, Lucy, wait."

Lucy turned to her. "What is.."

Amy cut her off, pulling her into a hard kiss. She wrapped her arms around Lucy's neck, holding her close, kissing her passionately. She felt Lucy's hands grip her waist. Her fingers digging into her side as the kiss deepened. Max and Janet looked away uncomfortably, but Johnny continued to stare, a look of awe on his face. Scud turned to him and elbowed him hard.

"Dude, that's your cousin." he reminded as Johnny shook his head.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, but, it's just.." He held his hands out. "It's two chicks, man."

Scud rolled his eyes. "You really are an idiot."

Amy pulled back slowly, smiling as Lucy lingered in the moment. Her eyes remained closed as Amy reached up and touched her face. "Have fun tonight, baby. Think of me." Amy requested, still grinning as Lucy opened her eyes to look at her.

"Come on, let's go." Johnny requested, pulling Lucy away from Amy.

Lucy continued to look back at her fiance, a flushed expression on her face as her male counter parts dragged her away. Amy wiggled her fingers in a seductive wave, proud of herself as her fiance disappeared into the distance. Janet stepped up behind Amy, clearing her throat to get the blonde's attention. Amy turned to her as Janet spoke.

"Um, you do realize that you just riled her up and sent her into a room full of potentially half naked women?" Janet noted as Amy's jaw dropped.

"Son of a bitch." Amy cursed, stomping her foot.

Max shook her head, grabbing Amy's arm. "Let's go. You definitely need a drink now." she stated, pulling Amy toward the bar....

PART 8

Lucy sat on the couch inside Johnny's suite. She bounced her leg anxiously as she continued to flip open her cell phone to check the time. She had only been at her party for an few hours, but she was already ready to leave. She looked around the room which was filled with some family and several friends from her past. She shook her head wondering what underground network Johnny and Scud went through to get out the information about her wedding.

"Lucy, baby!" a familiar voice greeted.

Lucy turned, smiling at the man coming toward her. His hand was wrapped tightly around the back of Johnny's neck as Scud walked beside him. "Hey, Uncle Anthony." she returned, standing up to kiss his cheek. She placed her hands on his shoulders, leaning back to look at him. "You look good."

He grinned at her. "So do you, sweetheart. Not even married yet and you got that certain glow going on." He pushed Johnny forward. "Listen, if this little pizon caused any friction between you and your future Mrs. over this whole stripper thing.."

Johnny sighed. "Pop.." he began as his father tightened the grip around his neck causing him to wince.

Anthony grabbed Johnny's face with his free hand. "I'll break his smug little face, capiche?"

Lucy placed her hand on her Uncle's chest. "It's okay, Uncle Anthony. Amy understood." She turned her attention to Johnny, raising an eyebrow. "Johnny's heart was in the right place."

"Yeah, but his freakin brain was below his waist."

"Jesus, Pop.." Johnny breathed, holding out his hand. "I was just tryin to give Luce one final party. That's all."

Scud placed his hand on Anthony's shoulder. "It's cool, Anthony. Johnny really did mean well."

Anthony turned to Scud, pointing at him. "Look at this guy, always the stand up." He patted Scud's face hard causing him to wince as well. He released his grip on his son's neck and placed his arm around Lucy's shoulders. "Sweetie, I got something for ya." He reached into the pocket of his jacket and pulled out a huge amount of cash.

Lucy shook her head. "No, Uncle Anthony, I don't.."

"Hey, you know I don't take no as an answer. Especially from family." He placed the cash in her hand. "For you and your wife. May you be happy for the rest of your lives." He kissed the top of her head.

Lucy smiled up at him. "Thank you, Uncle Anthony." She leaned up, kissing his cheek.

He flashed her a crooked grin. "No problem, baby. Enjoy the party." He turned to his son, raising his hand. "I'm watchin you, son."

Johnny flinched. "Okay, Pop, Jesus.." he replied as he watched his father walk away to join the other guests. He turned to Lucy. "You know, I always knew he liked you more than me."

"Well, I always was the better kid." Lucy replied, nudging him. "And that's only because I never got caught. You were never as smooth as I was."

Johnny narrowed his eyes at her. He went to speak, but a loud knock at the door interrupted him. He held up his finger, a grin spreading across his lips. "Hang on, we'll continue this in a second." He walked quickly toward the door.

Lucy turned, her eyes following him on his mission. She crossed her arms against her chest as Scud joined her. She looked at him. "Do I even want to know who's at the door?"

Scud pressed his lips together and shook his head. "Probably not."

Lucy closed her eyes for a moment, exhaling heavily. When she opened them, she noticed three women had joined the party. They were wearing extremely short blue plaid skirts with white button down shirts. She was surprised the shirts even closed considering the size of the chest beneath them. Her jaw dropped as the women walked further into the room. She turned to Scud again.

"You've GOT to be kidding me?" she breathed. "Where the hell did he find DEBS strippers?"

"Dancers." Scud corrected, with a grin. He shrugged. "He made a special call, just for you."

Lucy placed her fingers on the bridge of her nose. "I am going to be in so much trouble.." she muttered as one of the women stepped toward her.

"Lucy Diamond?" she questioned as Lucy looked up. The blonde smirked at her as she slowly removed the tie from her neck. "You're under arrest."

"To Amy!" Janet toasted as the women surrounding the bar cheered.

They tossed back their final shot of the night. Amy swallowed hard, slamming the glass down on the bar. She closed her eyes, sticking out her tongue as she waved her hand in front of herself. "Okay, that's it. I'm done." she stated, tapping her hand hard on the bar.

Max patted her back. "You held your own." she told her, finishing off her drink. She made a face. "I'm..uck..I'm proud of you."

Amy flashed her a pouty smile. "Aw, thank you.." She hugged Max and Janet around the shoulders. "You guys are awesome. Thanks for tonight." She pulled away from her friends, suddenly pouting without the smile. She turned, her brow furrowed in question. "Do you think Lucy's getting a lap dance right now?"

Max widened her eyes and waved her hand. "I don't want to think about that."

Janet looked at the saddened expression on Amy's face and sighed. "Amy, you don't have anything to worry about. Lucy's not going to go back to her room with some random stripper."

"I know, but.." She squinted. "Maybe kissing her the way I did was a bad idea. I just thought it would remind her of what we have together."

"Amy, she's marrying you. I'm sure she doesn't need a reminder." Janet cupped her hands around her glass. "Even though I'm pretty sure she didn't mind it."

Max nodded in agreement. "It sure looked like she didn't mind it." She raised her hand to the bartender. "Can we get the check?"

"Oh, hang on." Amy reached into her purse.

Max placed her hand over Amy's, raising an eyebrow in question. "What are you doing?"

Amy looked confused. "Paying for my drinks."

Max shook her head. "No, I don't think so."

"Yeah, Amy, we've got it." Janet added, pulling Amy's hand away from her purse. "This is your party. You don't pay for anything."

The same pouty smiled returned to Amy's lips. "I love you guys."

Janet smiled. "We love you too." She nudged Max. "Don't we?"

Max rolled her eyes then smiled. "You know we do, girl." she added as they trio hugged once again....

The sound of Button's by the Pussycat Dolls filled the room as the blonde 'DEB' placed her hand on Lucy's shoulder. She pushed her back down on the couch as she continued to remove her tie. The men around the room began to howl as the two other woman put a show on for them. The blonde smirked as she flipped her long hair to the side and straddled Lucy's lap. Lucy held her hands up, doing her best to make sure no other part of her body came in contact with the woman.

"Listen, I have a deal for you.." Lucy pleaded as the woman moved against the brunette's lap.

"And what would that be?" she questioned, moving to the music as she slowly unbuttoned her shirt.

Lucy shifted uncomfortably. "I'll give you fifty bucks if you switch this lap dance over to the guy in the blue shirt." She motioned her head toward Johnny.

The woman shook her head. "I can't." she said, slowly undoing one button at a time. "He paid me extra to pay special attention to you."

"A hundred." Lucy offered, quickly. She pulled out a hundred dollar bill and held it up to her. "And, if you're asked, you have no idea where I am."

The woman stopped her task. "You really don't want this?"

Lucy nodded. "I'm sorry, but.." She smiled. "There's someone else I would rather be with right now."

The woman looked disappointed as she took the money from her. "Okay, your loss." She pushed herself up and strutted over to Johnny.

Lucy quickly raised herself from the couch and slipped out the door unnoticed....

Amy returned to her suite, changing into her light blue pajama pants with a matching tank top. She pulled the covers from her bed, placing her cell phone on the night stand. She looked at the clock and sighed. It was getting late and she still hadn't heard from Lucy. She didn't know why it bothered her so much. She knew she could trust Lucy. She had no reason to be worried.

As she went to crawl under the covers, her phone vibrated, shaking the nightstand. She quickly picked it up, flipping it open with a smile when she saw her fiance's name flashing across the tiny screen. She pressed the talk button and brought the phone to her ear. "Hey, honey.." she greeted.

"Where are you?" Lucy inquired.

Amy furrowed her brow. "In my room."

"Good."

A confused expression covered her face as she heard a knock at her door. "What's going on? Are you still at the party?"

"No." Lucy replied, her voice had a hint of impatience to it.

The expression grew as she placed her hand on the door knob. "You're not?" She slowly opened the door. "Then where.."

The door flew open as Lucy rushed inside. She pulled Amy to her, causing the blonde to drop her cell phone. She kissed her passionately, kicking the door closed with her foot. Amy fell into the kiss immediately. Lucy wrapped her arms around her lover, pushing her back toward the bed. Amy reached down, fumbling to unbutton Lucy's shirt. When she was unable to get the buttons open, she placed her hands in a tiny opening and ripped it open as they fell onto the bed.

Lucy landed on top of her. She pulled back reluctantly as she looked down at her shirt then at her fiance in amazement. "This is my favorite shirt." she teased as Amy cupped her face with her hands.

"Shut up, I'll buy you a new one." she stated as she pulled Lucy to her and kissed her again. The blonde held her close, kissing her as they moved back further onto the bed. As Lucy's lips moved from her mouth to her neck, Amy spoke again. "Wait...wait..."

Lucy quickly looked at her, shaking her head. "No, no waiting. I can't wait anymore." She gently moved her fingers through the top of Amy's hair. "This is torture." She leaned in to kiss her again, but Amy stopped her.

Amy looked deeply into her eyes. "I need to know something."

Lucy lowered her head for a moment, her bangs falling over her eyes as she returned her attention to the woman beneath her. "What is it?"

"Are you feeling like you need to be with me right now because some stripper turned you on?" Amy asked, biting her lip.

Lucy dropped her jaw in shock. "What? No.." She shifted. "Baby, I left to be with you. You did this to me." She touched her face, staring down at her with love and desire. "I haven't stopped thinking about that kiss in the lobby all night."

Amy smiled. "Really?"

"Of course, really." Lucy assured her. "You are the only woman in the world that makes me feel this way."

Without another word, Amy pulled her down for another kiss. She helped Lucy remove what was left of her shirt and tossed it onto the floor. The brunette moved her hand along Amy's side, slipping it under her shirt. Amy ran her nails along her back, attempting to unhook her bra. Just then, the knob on the side door of Amy's room began to click as someone was attempting to open it. The two women quickly pulled apart.

"Shit. It's my Mom." Amy quickly pushed Lucy off of her and sat up. She looked around frantically. "Hide."

Lucy made a face. "Where the fuck am I supposed to hide??"

"I don't know! Get under the covers or something!"

Lucy rolled her eyes. "Amy, this is ridiculous."

"Just do it!" Amy ordered as Lucy moved back on the bed and pulled the covers over her. The blonde moved quickly, resting her back against the head board as she pulled her knees to her chest. She chewed on her nail nervously as the door opened.

Grace peeked her head in, smiling at her daughter. "Hey, sweetie." she greeted, furrowing her brow. "Are you okay? I thought I heard voices."

Amy balked for a moment. "Uh, yeah, I'm fine. I-I was talking to Max..on the phone.." she lied, drawing her brow together. "Did you have fun with Dad?"

Her Mother chuckled. "I think your Father would have rather had been at Lucy's little party, but we had fun none the less."

Amy smiled and nodded. "That's great, Mom."

"Are you sure you're okay, dear? You look a little flushed?"

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." She ran her hand through her hair. "I-I guess I'm just nervous." She held her thumbs up. "Big day tomorrow, right?"

Grace nodded. "That's right." She smiled warmly at her daughter. "Well, you should get some rest."

"Okay, Mom." She waved. "Good-night."

"Good-night, sweetie." She went to close the door, pausing for a moment as she stuck her head back in. "And, Lucy.."

Amy brought her hand to her face at her Mother's words. There was a moment of silence until the brunette finally spoke. "Yes..."

Grace grinned knowingly. "Go back to your room, sweetheart." She blew her daughter a kiss. "Good-night." She closed the door behind her.

Amy sighed. "Night, Mom."

Lucy pulled the covers from her head and looked at her fiance. "How the hell does she do that?"

Amy shrugged. "I have no idea." She touched Lucy's face. "I guess you should go."

"This sucks." Lucy pouted as she pulled the covers away and stood. She pointed at Amy. "Just so you know, we are not leaving the hotel room the first twenty four hours of our honeymoon." She leaned down, pushing her hands into the mattress as she kissed Amy good-night. "I'll see you in the morning."

Amy touched her face. "See you in the morning." she said as Lucy picked up what was left of her shirt, slipped it on, and walked out of the room....

PART 9

"These aren't the flowers I wanted!" Amy exclaimed, putting her hands to her head. She turned to the brunette sitting on a chair, watching her. "Why are the flowers wrong??"

Lucy hesitated for a moment. She wasn't sure if the question was rhetorical or not. It was the day of their wedding and it seemed like everything that could possibly go wrong had. The cake had two men instead of two women on top of it, the wedding planner was missing, and, now, the flowers were wrong. Amy stared down at Lucy, placing her hands on her hips. Lucy blew out a breath as she shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know, sweetie. I'm not the florist." she responded, instantly regretting her words. She quickly stood from her chair as she saw the frustration grow on her fiance's face. "I'm sorry. That came out all wrong."

Amy's eyes narrowed. She grunted as she turned and walked away from her. "I can't even talk to you right now."

"Amy!" Lucy called out, to her retreating form. She sighed, dropping her head as Amy disappeared into the distance.

Scud watched the scene for a moment. He waited for the proper amount of time to pass before joining Lucy. "What happened?" he asked as Lucy looked at him.

"Well, let's see...what didn't happen?" She held her hand out, counting off the number of mistakes. "The cake had two grooms on it, the wedding planner is probably off drinking somewhere, and the flowers are wrong." She huffed, running her hand through her hair.

Scud shrugged, resting his hand on Lucy's shoulder. "Hey, shit happens."

Lucy flashed him a flat stare. "Not in Amy's world. In Amy's world, shit doesn't just happen..it hits the fan."

"Forget it! The wedding is off!" Amy shouted, walking into her bridal suite. She stormed passed the shocked looks she was receiving and threw herself down on the couch.

"Amy, what the hell are you talking about?? You can't call off the wedding!" Max stated, staring down at the angry blonde.

"I believe I just did." she snapped, looking away from her friends.

Janet walked over to her. "Does Lucy know??"

"Um, she will when I don't show up."

Janet and Max exchanged glances. "Amy, come on.." Janet began, but was interrupted by a knock on the door.

Max walked toward the door, throwing a look over her shoulder. "You are not canceling this wedding." She pointed at Amy as she rested her hand on the door knob. "I didn't not spend three days practicing how to walk down an aisle with some dirt bag so you could throw it all out the window." She opened the door to see Lucy standing on the other side.

"Hey, Max, can I.." she started as Max quickly interrupted.

"Please, talk to her." She shot Amy a look. "She's acting like Amy again." She waved her hand at Janet. "Come on, Janet. Let's give them a minute."

Janet looked at Amy once again, touching her shoulder. "Talk to her." she mouthed as she turned and left with Max...

Lucy walked over to Amy, kneeling down in front of her. She placed her hands on the blonde's knees. "Hey.." she called out, softly, but Amy refused to look at her. "Baby, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to come out that way."

Amy kept her attention on the far wall. "You know I'm all stressed out about this wedding. The least you could have done was give me an answer with zero sarcasm."

"I know, I know." Lucy inched closer, pushing herself between Amy's legs. "Listen, things go wrong. It happens. Just remember, when this is all over, we are going to have the perfect life." She reached up, placing her finger underneath Amy's chin. She turned the blonde's attention to her. "No more stress. No more bullshit. Just us."

Amy looked into her eyes, instantly regretting her words from earlier. She didn't want to call of the wedding. She was just irritated with everything going so wrong on the most important day of her life. She just wanted things to be perfect. She gently grabbed Lucy's hands, pulling her up to her. She wrapped her arms around her neck and hugged her.

"I love you. I'm sorry I've been acting like a total freak."

Lucy laughed, holding her close. "It's okay. I'm used to it." She moved back to look into her eyes again. "So, we're good?"

Amy nodded. "We're good." She stood up. "I'm going to get a drink. You want something?"

Lucy shook her head as she watched her walk toward the bar. She pushed herself to her feet, taking Amy's seat. "I promise, no more surprises, no more mistakes. From this point on, it's smooth sailing."

At that moment, the door to the suite flew open. "There you are, Cuz!" Johnny shouted, entering the room as Lucy quickly spun around to face him. "Man, some party last night! That stripper could not stop talking about you!"

Lucy's eyes widened as she began to wave her hands. "Johnny!" she hissed, waving her hands more frantically.

He mocked danced, swirling his hips. "She said you had the most comfortable lap she's..." he paused at the sight of Amy standing over Lucy, her arms crossed angrily across her chest. He swallowed hard, bringing his hand to the back of his neck. "Uh, hey, Ames..didn't see ya there.."

"Obviously." she snapped, looking down at her fiance. "You lied to me!"

Lucy drew her brow together confused. "What? I didn't lie to you."

"Yes you did!" She mocked Lucy. "Oh, you're the only woman in the world who could make me feel this way. Yet, you had some whore stripper climbing on your lap before you left to come see me!" Her eyes narrowed as she shook her head. "You are so full of shit!" She turned to leave the room, pushing passed Johnny.

Lucy's jaw dropped. She hurried to get out of her chair. "Amy, baby, wait!!" she pleaded, pushing her cousin out of the way. She turned to him for a moment. "I'm telling your father!" She shot him an angry glare as she rushed out of the room.

Amy hurried down the hall, ignoring the people calling out to her. She turned the corner, her vision blurry from crying and smacked into her Mother. Grace held Amy's arms trying to steady herself from the blow. Her face grew puzzled as she looked into the tear filled eyes of her daughter.

"Amy, what's wrong?"

Amy tried to keep herself from crying any harder, but it was impossible. "The wedding is off, Mom.." she cried, shaking her head. "I'm sorry.." She pulled away from her Mother and continued her hurried escape down the hall....

PART 10

Grace watched her daughter disappear. She furrowed her brow, looking down at the floor. She lifted her head again to look after Amy, but the blonde was already gone. A moment later, Lucy came barreling around the corner. Grace reached out, grabbing her arm. Lucy stopped short and turned to her future Mother-in-law. Her face was filled with panic and worry.

"Grace, not now, please." she requested, trying to pull away. "I have to find Amy."

Grace held tightly onto her hand. "Lucy, what is going on?" she questioned, staring her in the eyes. "Amy just ran by here, hysterical, talking about calling off the wedding."

Lucy suddenly felt like she had been hit by a bus. Her heart sank into her stomach. "S-she...what?"

"She called off the wedding."

A stunned expression washed over her features. She placed her hand over her stomach as she turned to find the closest wall to sturdy herself. She felt sick. "W-why would...I.." She placed her hand on the wall, looking down at the floor. "I don't..." She closed her eyes, trying to fight the tears that were begging to fall.

Grace walked to her. She placed her hand on her shoulder in a comforting manner. "Lucy, I'll talk to her." She reached up, moving Lucy's hair away from her face. "It'll be okay."

Lucy turned, placing her back against the wall. She leaned her head back and looked up at the ceiling. "I don't know, Grace..." she breathed, still fighting back any urge to cry. She lowered her eyes to look at her. "She's really pissed.."

"I'll talk to her." Grace placed her hand on the side of Lucy's face. "There is nothing in the world that can make her so angry that she would stop loving you. She's just a little stressed out. Whatever set her off.." She smiled softly. "I can fix. I'm her Mother, after all."

"Lucy, there you are!" Scud exclaimed, hurrying to her.

Grace turned to the man coming toward them. "Oh good. Listen, Scood.."

Lucy pressed her lips together at the mispronunciation of his name. Scud gave her a flat stare. "It's Scud and, yes?"

Grace waved him off. "Take of care of Lucy for me. I'm off to find Amy and fix this over dramatic disaster." She gave Lucy a comforting smile as she turned and walked down the hall.

Scud watched her leave. "She's off alright.." he muttered as he turned his attention to Lucy once again. He placed his hand on her arm. "Johnny told me what happened. He's SUCH an ass."

"Yeah.." She closed her eyes, resting her head against the wall. She opened them quickly. "Do you think Kristen might have cursed the ring?"

Scud chuckled at her attempt to lighten the situation. He grabbed her hand, pulling her away from the wall. "Let's go. We'll have a drink. We'll talk." He put his arm around her shoulder. "Grace will fix it. She always does..."

Lucy smiled weakly at him as they walked toward the bar together...

Amy pulled her things from the closet and tossed them on the bed. She continued to mutter angrily as the tears streamed down her face. There was a knock at her door and she chose to ignore it. She knew it was Lucy and she didn't want to see her or talk to her. There was nothing she could say at this point that would make it better. The knock persisted. Amy turned to the door, irritated.

"I don't want to talk to you, Lucy!" she shouted, still pulling her clothing from the closet. "Why don't you go find your little stripper and talk to her!?" She paused in thought for a moment as she stomped toward the door. She tugged at the ring on her left hand. "I have one better! Why don't you take back your stupid engagement ring and give it to her to pay for your lap.." She pulled the door open, balking at the sight of her Mother on the other side. "...dance."

"Is that what this is about?" Grace inquired, stepping into her daughter's room. She turned to face her. "You are calling off the wedding over a lap dance at a bachlerette party?"

Amy closed the door, lowering her head. "It's not just that, Mom."

"Then what is this about?"

Amy sighed. She crossed her arms as she walked further into her room. "Everything that could possibly go wrong has. It all started when you promised not to take over and totally did..."

Grace's mouth opened slightly. "Oh, sweetie, I was just trying to help."

"I know you were, Mom. It's just...I didn't feel like I had control over anything." She sat down on her bed. "And then, the things I did have control over went horribly wrong." She ran her hands through her hair. "The cake, the flowers...everything." She held her hand out. "Then Lucy..and the stripper...and...ugh.." She placed her hands over her face, dropping her head. "I-I just don't know if this is worth all of this stress..."

"Amy.." Grace joined her daughter on the bed, placing her arm around her shoulders. "I'm sorry if you felt like I was taking over your wedding. I didn't mean for it to be that way. I-I just wanted the best for you."

"I know, Mom."

She rubbed her daughter's shoulders in a comforting manner. "As far as Lucy and the stripper goes..." She tilted her head. "Did I ever tell you about your Father's party the night before our wedding?"

Amy raised her head finally, her brow scrunched in question. "Do I want to hear about it?"

Grace nodded. "I think you should." She took in a deep breath. "The night before our wedding, your Father had a bachelor party. It was wild. Of course, there were girls dancing for dollars..." She paused for a moment as Amy turned fully to her. "Well, too make a long story short, your Father didn't show up for our wedding on time.."

Amy looked confused. "Where was Dad?"

Grace hesitated for a moment. "Handcuffed to a exotic dancer..In his brother's suite."

"What??" Amy's jaw dropped. "What did you do?"

"I cried. I yelled.." She shrugged her shoulder. "But, after listening to his brother confess that it was his fault and that your Father wanted nothing to do with the whole thing, I calmed down." She looked into her daughter's eyes. "I knew I couldn't see the rest of my life without your Father." She shrugged again. "He apologized for weeks after the wedding. He made it up in the most romantic ways." She smiled at the memory. "Sweetie, you have to forgive Lucy. Everyone makes mistakes. Honestly, honey, can you see yourself spending the rest of your life without her?"

Amy looked away from her Mother, turning her attention to the floor beneath her feet. She tucked her hair behind her ear, biting gently into her lip. "No..." she responded, softly. She looked up at her Mother again, the worry still filling her features. "We're going to be okay, right?"

Grace hugged her shoulders. "You're going to be great." She leaned back to look at her. "So, does this mean the wedding is still on?"

Amy flashed her a crooked smile. "Yeah.." She nodded, standing from the bed. She extended her hand to her Mother. "Come on, Mom. It's time for me to marry the most understanding woman on the planet."

"That's my girl." Grace stated as she took her daughter's hand and stood from the bed...

Lucy wrapped her hands around her glass, staring blankly into the liquid that filled it. "She hates me, Scud.." she spoke, weakly.

"She doesn't hate you." Scud assured her, taking a sip from his drink. "Just give her a minute to process what an idiot your cousin is then everything will be fine."

"I'm going to kill him." she muttered as she turned to Scud. "Better yet, I'm going to let Uncle Anthony kill him." She turned in her bar stool. "You know, I wasn't even with that stripper for more the two minutes. I got her off of me as quick as she sat on me." She sighed, heavily. "She's going to call off the wedding. I know it."

Scud smirked, taking another drink. "Listen, I know Amy is a neurotic, but she loves you." He placed his hand on her back, rubbing gently. "She's not going to call off this wedding. She just needs sometime to cool off. She's had a lot to process, today especially."

Lucy growled as she rested her head on the bar. "This is so frustrating..." she moaned. "I just wish Grace would come down here and tell me that.."

"Everything is okay?" Grace finished as Lucy raised her head quickly.

The brunette turned on her barstool, meeting her Mother in Law's gaze. "We're okay? She's still going to marry me?"

"Of course she is, sweetie." Grace assured her as she reached out and touched Lucy's chin. "She's in the bridal suite getting ready as we speak." She checked her watch. "Speaking of which, you should be getting ready as well."

"Can I see her? I mean, I want to talk to her and make sure everything is okay."

"Everything is fine, dear. Trust me."

"I do trust you, Grace, but I would rather hear it from Amy."

Grace raised an eyebrow. "Now, Lucy, you know you aren't supposed to see the bride before the wedding."

Lucy stammered for a moment before gathering her composure to speak. "Grace, I think we can make an exception considering the circumstances."

Grace shook her head. "No, no exceptions. It's bad luck." She rested her hand on Lucy's shoulder. "And, believe me, honey, you don't need anymore bad luck."

Lucy narrowed her eyes at the comment.

"She's right, you know." Scud added as Lucy shot him a look as well.

Grace clapped her hands together. "Well, I am off to help her. You two should hurry." She tapped her watch. "Time's ticking." She turned on her heels and walked away.

Lucy watched her leave, tapping her foot against her barstool. "Forget tradition. I have to see her."

Scud sighed. "Lucy..."

She placed her hand on his arm. "Cover me. I'll be quick." She jumped off the stool and headed off toward Amy's room.

Scud rolled his eyes and shook his head. "She'll never learn.." he breathed as he turned to the bartender for the check....

PART 11

Amy admired her appearance in the full length mirror. She turned, smiling as her dress flowed with each movement. It was perfect. The dress was the one choice she made that had absolutely no flaws. The form fit showed every curve of her body. The white satin shawl that draped around her fell perfectly around her shoulders, draping down over her arms. She turned again, glancing over her shoulder to see how she looked from behind. She smiled even brighter, pleased at what she saw.

"Finally.." she breathed. "Something is perfect."

There was a knock at her door. She gently took hold of her dress, lifting is slightly so she wouldn't step on any part of it. Even with her height, the dress was a little closer to the floor which put it at a greater risk of getting ruined if she even stepped incorrectly. She walked toward the door, releasing the dress from one hand as she opened it slowly. Her eyes widened a bit at the person standing on the other side.

"Johnny? What are you doing here?"

Johnny stood in the doorway, his hand on the back of his neck. He was dressed in his tux, his white shirt un-tucked, blue vest un done and his tie loose. "Hey, Ames.." he greeted, squinting slightly. "Can I talk to ya for a second?"

"Um, sure. Come in." She stepped to the side allowing him entrance into her room. She closed the door behind them, watching as he stepped toward the middle of the room. "What's up, Johnny?"

He turned on his polished heels. He finally caught a full view of the woman standing before him. "Wow.." he breathed, eyeing her up and down. He held his hand out to her. "Amy, you look incredible."

Amy smiled shyly, feeling her cheeks flush. "Thank you."

"Luce is a lucky woman."

"So am I."

He nodded slowly. "Yeah..." He paused for a moment, gathering his thoughts. "Listen, Ames, about the party.."

She held up her hand, stopping him in mid sentence. "It's okay, Johnny. You don't have to explain anything."

"No, I do." He walked toward her. "It was my fault. I hired that chick to pay special attention to Luce, but just so you know.." He gave her an honest look. "Luce was not interested. I mean, I even had this chick dressed in a DEB's uniform.."

"Wait, wait.." Amy squinted, tilting her head to the side. A small smirk crossed her lips. "You hired a DEBS stripper?"

He nodded slowly. "Yeah..." He huffed a small laugh. "I thought she'd appreciate the irony."

Amy chuckled as she shook her head. "Johnny, you are an interesting man." She moved toward him, placing her hand on his shoulder. She looked him in the eyes. "Everything is okay. I forgive you."

He grinned. "Thanks, Ames. And, again, I'm sorry."

"It's okay." She leaned in, giving him a kiss on the cheek. She moved back, looking him up and down. "Um, you should finish getting ready."

He looked down at himself. "Oh, shit, yeah I should." He looked up at her again. "Luce will kill me if I walk down the aisle un-tucked."

"My Mom will kill you if you walk down the aisle un-tucked."

Johnny laughed. "At this point, I don't know who to be more afraid of."

They stared at one another for a moment then nodded quickly. "Mom." they said, in unison as they laughed and gave one another a hug.

"Alright, I'm gonna go." He winked at her. "See you soon."

"See you soon." she replied as Johnny grinned once again, opened the door and walked out of the room....

Lucy pulled herself over the balcony, landing hard on the floor. She winced as she pain shot up her backbone. "Ow..." she muttered, slowly pulling herself from the floor.

Lucy walked toward the sliding glass door leading to Amy's bridal suite. She stopped at the sight of Johnny and Amy talking. A nervous feeling washed over her at that moment. Lord only knew what Johnny was saying now. After a second of them staring at one another, she saw them both laugh then hug. She breathed a sigh of relief. He obviously didn't say anything too stupid. When Johnny left the room, Lucy placed her hand on the sliding glass door and pulled it open.

Amy spun around quickly at the sound of the door opening. She took in a deep gasp, placing her hand over her chest. "Jesus, Lucy!" she exclaimed, closing her eyes for a moment. She could feel her heart racing from the surprise as she opened her eyes once again. "You scared the crap out of me!"

Lucy flashed her an apologetic look. "Sorry.." She walked further into the room, closing the door behind her. She stared at her fiance in complete awe. "Wow...baby...you look..."

Amy's jaw dropped at the realization of her standing in front of Lucy's in her wedding dress. "Lucy! You're not supposed to see me like this!"

"I know, but.."

"It's bad luck!"

"I know, I know, but.."

"You can't be here."

Lucy raised an eyebrow at the familiar words. "Are Max and Janet going to start shooting at me now?"

Amy narrowed her eyes at her sarcasm. "Very funny." She walked forward, placing her hand on Lucy's chest. "You have to go." She backed her up toward the sliding glass door.

"No, wait, Amy." Lucy reached up, placing her hands on her lover's shoulders. She stopped her in mid step, looking deeply into her eyes. "Are we okay?"

Amy flashed her a strange look before grinning. "I wouldn't be dressed if we weren't."

Lucy smiled at her. She looked her up and down once again. "You look absolutely beautiful." she complimented.

Amy felt her face turning flush again. "Thank you. Now go." She turned Lucy around and moved her toward the door.

"Okay, okay." Lucy turned quickly, wrapping her arms around her waist. "Can I least have a kiss?"

The blonde shook her head. "No, you have to wait for that too."

Lucy pouted. "This whole waiting thing sucks."

"Yes, I know." She bit her lip, resisting the urge to pull Lucy to her and kiss her. She always looked so cute when she pouted. She turned her again, pushing her toward the sliding glass door. "Come on! You have to go now."

The brunette sighed. "Fine..." She pulled open the sliding glass door and stepped onto the balcony. She turned to look at Amy once again. "So, we're really doing this?"

Amy smiled, nodding. "We sure are."

The couple stared at one another in silence. Brown eyes blended with blue as they feel deeply into the gaze they held with one another. The sound of the door opening broke their stare. Amy quickly turned to see her Mother entering with Janet and Max. She turned to Lucy, pushing her further onto the balcony.

"Go!" she whispered as Lucy kissed her hand.

"I love you, Amy." she stated as she walked away quickly and started over the balcony.

"Lucy.." Amy called, softly as the brunette halted in mid motion. She smiled at her. "I love you."

The brunette returned her smile, winking at her as she quickly made her way over the balcony....

"Oh, Amy!" Grace gushed, her hands cupped together. "You look perfect!"

"You really do look beautiful, Amy." Janet added.

Max nodded in agreement. "You look great, Bradshaw."

Amy smiled at the compliments. She turned in her dress. "Are you sure everything looks okay?"

Grace walked towards her daughter, resting her hands on her shoulders. She brought her hand to her face, cupping her chin. "I've never seen you look more beautiful."

"Thank you, Mom."

Max walked closer, pulling on the top of her bridesmaid dress. "Could you have gotten these things cut any lower?" she teased, tugging that top of her off the shoulder royal blue bridesmaids gown.

Amy looked at her friend. "You look beautiful." She turned to Janet. "And so do you."

Janet smiled happily, bouncing slightly. "Thank you!" She walked over to Amy, touching her arm. "Are you nervous?"

"Terrified." She blew out a heavy breath, biting her lip. "I've never been more scared...or more sure...of anything in my entire life."

"Then you are definitely ready to get married." Grace stated, smiling warmly at her daughter.

A knock at the door pulled them from their moment. Max walked over, opening the door and allowing the person inside the suite. The wedding planner stepped further in. "Your sister and your father are already downstairs." She clasped her hands together, a huge smile covering her dark painted lips. "It's time."

Amy swallowed hard. "Oh God.." She placed her hand over her stomach, feeling the butterflies swirling around inside. She turned to her Mother, the fear over taking her features. "Mom..."

Grace took her hand. "Relax, sweetie." She patted her hand. "It's going to be perfect."

Max placed her hand on her back, giving her a comforting look. "Breath in, breath out." she instructed, teasingly as Amy shot her a mock dirty glare.

The blonde bit into her lip again. "Okay..." she breathed, reaching down to pick up her bouquet. She exhaled heavily. "Let's do this.."

Max and Janet chuckled at her statement as the four women made their way out of the bridal suite with the wedding planner in tow...

PART 12

Lucy stood outside the doors, bouncing nervously in place. She felt a hand on her shoulder causing her to turn. Scud smiled warmly at his friend as she looked him up and down. "Well, don't you look pretty." she joked as he shot her a look.

Scud was dressed in his tux. Unlike Johnny, his outfit was put together. His white dress shirt was tucked in, covered by a royal blue vest. His tie was not hanging around his neck, but tied correctly. He raised his hand, tugging gently on his tie. "This thing is choking me." he noted as Lucy reached up to loosen it a bit. "Thanks.."

Lucy smiled. "No problem." She stepped back, holding her arms out. "Do I look okay?"

Scud grinned at the memory of the last time he was asked that question. He stepped back, taking in her appearance. She had on a black pants suit with a low cut black dress shirt underneath the long sleeved jacket. Her hair was flawless, her beauty was overpowering. Scud had never seen his friend look better than she did at that very moment.

He breathed out. "Wow.." He raised his hand. "You.." He waved his hand over her before resting it against his stomach. "Yeah.."

Lucy's grin spread across her lips. "Thanks, Scud." She turned away from him for a moment, staring at the door. She glanced over her shoulder at Scud. "Well, this is it."

"Sure is." He placed his hand on her shoulder. "Are you ready?"

She pressed her lips together. "As ready as I'll ever be."

"What are you still doing out here!?" the wedding planner exclaimed, causing Scud and Lucy to turn their attention to her quickly.

She hurried toward them, the rest of the wedding party in tow as her hands waved frantically in Lucy's direction. "You. Inside. Now." she ordered, placing her hands on Lucy's back and pushing her toward the door. "Go down to the arch way and wait."

Lucy made a face, glancing at the woman over her shoulder. "Jesus, and I thought Amy was bad." she breathed as the woman pushed her through the doors, slamming them closed loudly behind her.

The brunette paused as all of their wedding guest turned in their white chairs to look at her. She desperately wanted to go back behind the closed doors, but found them locked when she pulled on the handle. She composed herself, clearing her throat as she turned and started to make her way down the aisle. Her eyes studied the people watching her walk. They were smiling, whispering to one another, crying, her Uncle winked at her. It was a mix of emotions coming from both sides and the ceremony hadn't even started yet.

She looked over the room. Amy and her Mother had done a wonderful job. The chairs at the edge of the aisle way were connected with royal blue and white ribbons, lined with flowers. Regardless of what Amy thought, Lucy thought the white roses were a perfect touch. She looked down for a moment at the royal blue carpet lining the floor. She smiled to herself. Once a DEB, always a DEB. She raised her attention, catching eyes with Grace. She was already teary eyed. She smiled at her future daughter in law as Lucy smiled back. She walked up the two steps, leading to the white wicker arch way and smiled at the waiting Minister.

"Hey." Lucy greeted as the woman smiled back.

"Hey there." the Minister replied, leaning closer to the brunette. "Nervous?"

Lucy exhaled heavily. "How would you feel if you were about to marry the most beautiful woman in existence?"

The Minister furrowed her brow in thought. "I was a nervous wreck." she responded, with a grin as Lucy stared at her for a moment then grinned. She reached out and touched Lucy's arm. "If you think you're nervous now, wait until she makes her way down here."

Lucy narrowed her eyes. "Thanks a lot." She chuckled lightly as she breathed out again and waited patiently for the ceremony to begin....

"Okay, okay!" The wedding planner clapped her hands together as she gathered the wedding party. "Places! It's time."

Janet took her place next to Scud, slipping her arm through his. She smiled up at him. "You look nice." she complimented as he smiled brightly at her.

He reached out and touched her chin. "And you look beautiful." he replied, caressing her chin gently with his thumb. "As expected."

Janet's smile spread across her face. She pushed herself up on her toes and kissed his cheek. "Thank you."

Max rolled her eyes as she took her place next to Johnny. She reluctantly slipped her arm through his. She narrowed her eyes, turning her attention to the man staring at her. "What?" she snapped as Johnny pushed out his lips and shook his head.

"Nothin'." he replied, shrugging his shoulder. "I was just gonna say.." He eyed her up and down. "You look hot."

Max made a disgusted face as she rolled her eyes again. She sighed, remembering Amy's request for her to be nice. She looked him up and down. "You look..." She paused as she fought for a nice way to compliment him. "...clean."

Johnny raised an eyebrow. "Okay, I'll take that." He placed his hand over her's, watching as the wedding planner open the door allowing Scud and Janet entrance to the ceremony. He took a step forward with Max and cleared his throat. "Wadda ya say, at the reception, I buy you a drink?"

Max scrunched her face. "It's an open bar."

He turned to her, flashing his wicked grin. "Okay, so I'll bring ya one."

Max couldn't help but chuckle as she shook her head. "We'll see, gangster." she replied.

"Retired gangster." he reminded as Max shook her head again and they followed Scud and Janet down the aisle.

The wedding planner closed the doors behind them and motioned for Taylor, Amy and her Father to come forward. "Okay, Taylor, you first."

Taylor rolled her eyes. "I don't want to do this." she stated, turning to face her Father. "Dad, don't make me do this."

Amy rolled her eyes and turned to her Father. "Dad..."

Jake held his hand up, stopping both his Daughter's in mid complaint. "Girls, please, just..." He sighed, turning his attention to Taylor. "Sweetie, it's your sisters wedding and she really wants you to be part of it. Can you do this for her? Please?"

Taylor huffed and turned away. "Whatever." she muttered as Amy clenched her jaw. The wedding planner put her hands on Taylor's shoulders and ushered her forward.

"She's going to pull something, Dad. I know it." Amy whispered as her Dad placed his hand under her chin.

He turned his oldest Daughter's attention to him. "If she does, I'll ground her until she's thirty." He smiled at her, watching the worry drop from her features. He touched her cheek. "You look beautiful, honey."

Amy smiled at him. "Thanks, Dad." She touched his chest. "You look great."

"Well, I try." he joked, with a laugh.

"Well, you succeed." Amy looked into her Father's eyes. "I love you, Dad."

He smiled warmly at her. "I love you too." He kissed her forehead.

"Okay, it's time."

Jake exhaled at the same time as his oldest. "Here we go." he said, glancing at her one last time as they followed Taylor through the doors...

The music played and Lucy felt her body tense. Scud sensed it, immediately placing his hand on her shoulder. He moved closer to whisper in her ear. "Breathe.." he whispered as Lucy swallowed hard.

"I am breathing." she replied, softly.

"No, you're not. I can see your face turning blue as we speak."

Lucy glared at him for a moment before letting out a deep exhale. "There. Happy?"

Scud grinned. "Very." He moved back, clasping his hands in front of him as he watched Taylor make her way down the aisle first.

Taylor was not smiling, as usual. She reached into her basket and began placing flowers on either side of herself. Half way down, she dumped the basket and started to kick them from side to side. Lucy's eyes widened at the sight. She felt the urge to rush to Taylor and choke her. Scud placed his hand on her shoulder, holding her back. Grace noticed the anger across Lucy's face and quickly turned in her seat. Her eyes widened at the sight of her youngest daughter kicking the flowers down the aisle. She remained composed as she mouthed Taylor's name and something about grounded for life.

Lucy rolled her eyes to the ceiling, but her anger faded when she caught a glimpse of Amy coming down the aisle. She saw the horror on Amy's face until her Father leaned in and whispered something in her ear. The wedding guests stood as they watched in awe as Amy walk toward Lucy. The blonde smiled at her future wife, receiving a warm smile in return. When they reached the end of the aisle, Jake waited as the Minister asked who gave this woman to be married. His voice caught as he answered and gave his Daughter's hand to Lucy.

Lucy stared at Amy for a brief moment. "Hey, beautiful.." she greeted, softly as Amy bit her lip gently.

"Hey, yourself.." she returned as Lucy flashed her a perfect smile and they turned to the Minister.

She spoke of eternal love and the bond of Marriage. She spoke of how joining as one was not about sexual orientation, but about love. "Now, I understand Lucy and Amy have written a few words to express their love for one another." she said, looking from one woman to the other. "Let us listen as they express to us the feelings that have brought them here today." She turned to Lucy. "Lucy."

Lucy took in a deep breath then slowly released it. "Okay.." She looked into Amy's eyes, feeling lost for a moment. She regained her composure and began to speak. "Amy... You are the most unbelievably neurotic, psychotic woman I have ever met. You jump to conclusions, you take everything the wrong way..." She paused as the wedding guest laughed. Lucy grinned wickedly as her future wife's jaw dropped. She held her hand tightly, placing her free hand over it. She looked deeper into her lover's eyes. "And I couldn't imagine my life without you in it. You bite your lip and give me that sweet smile and I just melt away. Everyone knows you're crazy...But you're also kind, loving, passionate, beautiful, and I am completely in love with you. I gave up everything I've ever known for the opportunity to be with you, and I'd do it all over again if I had too. You fill the part of me that has been missing for years. You're the last thing I see at night and the first thing I see when I wake up; and my world makes sense. I will forever love, honor, and cherish you for the rest of our lives. I love you."

The guest awed. Amy felt her heart beat increase as her eyes began to fill with tears. She reached out, gently touching Lucy's face. She had to resist the urge to kiss her. Lucy turned her face, kissing the palm of Amy's hand softly.

The Minister smiled at the sight before her then turned her attention to the blonde. "Okay, Amy. Proceed."

Amy slowly removed her hand, biting gently into her bottom lip once again. She breathed in deeply, slowly releasing it. "Lucy..." she began, pausing for a moment to pull herself together. She raised her attention to the woman before her, looking into deep pools of chocolate brown. "You are my life, my love, my soul mate, and my world. You make me a better person. You flash that beautiful smile my way and my knees get weak..." She paused for a moment as Lucy did just that. She felt her stomach flutter at the sight and did her best to continue. "I remember staring at pictures of you for hours in my room never thinking we would end up here. If you look up the word 'fate' in the dictionary, there will be a picture of us underneath." She tried to fight the tears that were starting to fall, but failed. Her voice cracked as she continued, feeling Lucy's grip tighten on her hand. "You are that 'more' that I've been searching for. I have never loved anyone as much as I love you. You make me feel safe. You make me feel loved. You make me feel like everything is going to be okay as long as we're together. And I want to spend the rest of my life making you feel the same way. I love you so much."

The awe's continued, this time followed by the sound of tears and sniffing. Lucy stared at Amy with admiration and love. She fought her tears of joy, but one strayed, making it's way down her cheek. Amy raised her hand, resting it against Lucy's cheek again as she brushed away the tear with her thumb. She mouthed I love you and Lucy did the same. The Minister sighed, breaking their moment.

"That was beautiful, Ladies." she complimented as they turned their attention to her. "If no one has any objections, I'll ask for the rings." She looked at Lucy. "Lucy."

Lucy turned to Scud, holding out her hand. "The ring."

Scud's eyes widened for a moment. "Uh...right..the ring." He touched his jacket then his pants. "Um..." He turned to Johnny. "Do..uh..do you have the ring?"

Johnny shook his head. "Nah, dude, that was your deal."

Scud turned to Lucy, flashing her a sheepish look as her eyes narrowed in a stern glare. "This is the not the time for jokes, Scud." she scolded, between clenched teeth.

He looked over her shoulder at Amy, who was glaring angrily at him. He felt Johnny punch him in the back and he leaned back toward him. "My dad is reachin into his jacket. I suggest you stop playin around." Johnny whispered as Scud quickly reached into his pocket.

"AH, here it is!" he exclaimed, handing Lucy the silver band.

She snatched it from his hand, giving him another angry glare. Her features softened as she caught a glimpse of Amy's beauty. She felt her breath catch, her pulse quicken. She held Amy's hand, feeling her own shake as the Minister spoke again. "Lucy, repeat after me." she stated as Lucy brought the ring to Amy's finger. "With this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring.." Lucy paused as she looked lovingly into the teary blue eyes staring back at her. She smiled. "I thee wed." She slid the ring onto Amy's finger.

"Now, Amy..."

Amy handed her bouquet to Max, receiving Lucy's silver band in return. She turned her attention back to Lucy, taking the brunette's hand in her own. She swallowed hard as the Minister spoke again. "Amy, repeat after me. With this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring.." Amy began, her voice cracking with tears as she cleared it to regain composure. "I thee wed." She slid the ring onto Lucy's finger, holding her hand tightly when she was done.

The Minister held her hands out to the couple. "I know pronounce you eternally bonded. You may kiss....each other."

Lucy and Amy smiled brightly. Amy stepped closer, placing her hand on the side of Lucy's face. The brunette wrapped her arms around Amy's waist pulling her closer. Their lips met in a soft, passionate kiss as the wedding guest rose to their feet and applauded the newly married couple....

PART 13

"Hey, thanks, buddy." Johnny said, taking two glasses of rum and coke off of the bar. He held them up to the man behind it and winked. "Appreciate it."

"No problem, Mr. DeMarco." the man replied, nodding and turning to help the next person.

Johnny turned, smiling at the sight in the large room. People were dancing and living in the moment. The moment involving the two women who were standing in the middle of the floor, holding each other, swaying to music that was going a lot faster then they were. He grinned at the sight of his cousin holding the face of the woman she loved so much. Staring into her eyes, laughing with her, kissing her. He shook his head, sighing. One day, maybe, he'd be that lucky.

He scanned the room again, his attention stopping at the table where Max sat. Her leg was crossed over the other, her arms typically against her chest. She was scanning the room, probably trying to see who she could arrest once the party was over. He chuckled at the thought, shaking his head as he smoothly made his way over to her. When he reached her, he stood over the woman for a moment waiting for her attention to focus on him.

She turned, looking up at him. "Didn't take you long to undo yourself." she stated, noticing how his vest was already open and shirt already pulled from his pants.

"Hey, I like to be comfortable so sue me." he responded, taking the seat next to her. He placed the drink down on the table beside her. "There ya go. As promised."

Max took the drink, looking inside the glass at the dark liquid. "What is it?"

"Just drink it."

Max raised an eyebrow. "Tell me what it is first. Just because we walked together doesn't mean I trust you."

"What does it look like? It's rum and coke." He shook his head, bringing his own drink to his lips. "Jesus, DEB, relax. I didn't drug the damn thing."

Max hesitated for a moment before bringing it to her lips and taking a sip. She made a face then put the glass back down. "Well....thank you."

He grinned. "No problem."

They sat in silence for a moment, barely taking a glance at one another. Whenever one looked over, the other would quickly look away. Johnny drank his drink a lot faster then she did her's. His leg bounced anxiously in place as he fidgeted with his hands, trying to think of a way to start a conversation. As he opened his mouth to speak, a slower song filled the room. He half grinned, rising to his feet, and extending his hand to the woman sitting below him.

Max made a face. "What?"

He motioned his head to the dance floor. "Come on, dance with me." He leaned down a bit, grinning mischievously. "I promise I won't step on your gianormis feet again."

Max pressed her lips together, giving him a dirty glare. After a second of hesitation, she slipped her hand in his and rose from her seat. She stared at the retired criminal for a moment. "Don't try anything." she stated, with a soft grin. "I have a pair of handcuffs in my purse."

Johnny took in a sharp breath, drawing his brow together. "Ohh, kinky. I like that."

Max grunted disgusted, rolling her eyes at him. "Let's go." she ordered, pulling him onto the dance floor as he laughed....

Amy had finally left Lucy's side for a moment to get herself a drink. As she walked across the room, she noticed her sister sitting alone, listening to the iPOD she had snuck into the ceremony and the party. She had noticed her sister listening to it when she turned to get the ring from Max, but she was sure to remain composed. She didn't want to do anything to bring her Mother's attention to Taylor and cause another scene at her wedding. She crossed the room, thanking people she passed as they congratulated her on her marriage. When she reached her sister, she pulled the earphones from her causing Taylor to quickly give her a stern look.

"Excuse me, I was listening to that!" Taylor hissed.

Amy placed her hands on her hips, staring down at her sister. "What is your problem?"

"Right now, it's you." Taylor reached out to grab her earphones back, but Amy pulled them away. She sighed. "I'm not in the mood, Amy. Give them back."

"You're not getting these back until you tell me what your problem is." Amy crossed her arms against her chest. "I mean, hell, Taylor, you've always been a spoiled little brat, but this whole week you've been showing a new side to that personality."

Taylor looked insulted. "I am not a spoiled brat!"

Amy let out a loud laugh of disbelief. "Yeah, okay."

"I am not!"

"Are too!"

Taylor gritted her teeth. "Oh, yeah, well you're a.." She paused as she thought of something to come back with. "You're a.."

Amy raised an eyebrow. "I'm a.." She motioned her hands waiting for her sister to come up with something.

"Lesbian!" Taylor shot back, balking at her own words.

"Taylor Marie Bradshaw!" Grace exclaimed, causing both her daughters to turn their attention to her. She stormed over to her, pointing her finger sternly at her. "I will NOT have you calling your sister a lesbian on her wedding day."

The two sisters furrowed their brows, their expressions of confusion mirroring one another's. Taylor raised her hand to her older sister. "Mom, she just married a woman." she stated. "What do you think she is?"

Grace stammered for a moment before gathering her words. "Well, I...I just won't have the name calling." she finally spit out. She pointed at her youngest. "When we get home, you are grounded. Do you understand me?"

Taylor half rolled her eyes, looking away. "Fine."

Grace moved closer, putting her hand on Taylor's chin, turning her attention toward her. "I am sick of your attitude. Stop it. Now."

"Okay, okay." Taylor jerked her head, pulling it away from her Mother's grasp.

Grace straightened up, running her hands down the front of her outfit to compose herself. She turned to her oldest daughter, a new smile across her lips. She placed her hands on Amy's shoulders. "I am so happy for you, dear." She pulled her into a hug. "You're going to have a wonderful life."

Amy hugged her back, keeping her eyes on her sister. "Thanks, Mom." She pulled back, looking at her Mother for a moment. "Can you give me and Taylor a minute?"

"Of course, dear." She glared down at her youngest who was now looking in the other direction once again. She sighed. "Maybe you can figure her out. I sure can't these days." She touched Amy's chin then turned and walked away to join the rest of the party.

Amy pulled out a chair at her sisters lone table and sat down. She placed her arms on the table, clasping her hands together in front of her. She stared at her sisters profile for a moment, waiting for the young Bradshaw to turn her attention in her direction. When she didn't, Amy reached out, touching her hand, finally receiving a look.

"What gives, Taylor?" Amy inquired as her sister bit her lip and looked away again. The blonde sighed, gently grabbing her sister's hand. "You can talk to me about anything. You know that."

Taylor looked down for a moment. Her jaw twitched as she thought of how to put what she wanted to say in words that made sense. She scrunched her brow, turning her attention to her sister again. "Why did you marry her?" she asked.

Amy was taken back slightly. "I.." She stumbled briefly before gathering her thoughts. "I love her, Taylor. That's why."

"But you were straight. It doesn't make any sense."

"You can't help who you fall in love with, sis." Amy explained as Taylor looked down at the blue cloth lining the table. She reached out, placing her finger underneath Taylor's chin to raise her attention to her again. She noticed the confusion in her sister's deep blue eyes. "Is that what's wrong with you? You don't understand why all of a sudden I fell in love with a woman?"

Taylor nodded. "I mean, Bobby was super hot.."

Amy chuckled. "Taylor, one day, I'm going to tell you a story about Bobby. You might think differently about him after you hear it."

Taylor bit her lip again, her eyes lowering to look at her sister's hand. Amy smiled at her. Even though some of their features were different, Amy looked like her Mother, Taylor was the spitting image of her Dad, their facial expressions, their actions, and sometimes their attitude, were exactly the same. She looked up at her older sister, her brow scrunched in question.

"Does this mean I'm going to end up being gay one day too?"

Amy laughed hard at the question. She shook her head, placing her free hand over her sisters. "No, sweetie, not necessarily." She squeezed her sister's hand. "You will fall in love with the right person for you. Male, female. It's your life."

An apologetic looked covered the youngest Bradshaw's features. "I'm sorry I've been acting like such an ass." she apologized.

"It's okay. I'm used to it." Amy replied, smiling warmly at her. "Just..get to know Lucy. You might just like her."

Taylor nodded. "I'll try." She shrugged. "I mean, she's seems okay. I guess I can give her a chance."

"That's all I ask. Now give me a hug."

Taylor rolled her eyes in mock annoyance. "Do I have too?"

Amy's jaw dropped. "Yes, you have too. Now get over here."

Taylor complied, moving closer to her sister and wrapping her arms around her. Amy held her close for a second, giving her a tight squeeze. "Um, ow.." Taylor breathed, causing Amy to chuckle.

"You deserve the pain." she joked, moving back to look at her. She touched her face. "I love you, Taylor."

"Yeah, I guess I love you too." she teased, smiling for the first time that week.

Lucy cleared her throat, interrupting the moment. The sister's looked up at her. "Hey, baby, they want us to cut the cake." she said, glancing at Taylor for a moment. She grinned at her. "Nice little stunt you pulled at the ceremony."

Taylor gave her a sheepish look. "Yeah...sorry about that."

Lucy shrugged. "It's okay. You wouldn't have been you if you didn't pull something, right?" She held her hand out to Taylor, raising an eyebrow. "Friends?"

Taylor looked at her hand then at her sister. Amy motioned her head in Lucy's direction. The youngest sighed as she stood from her seat. "Sisters." She wrapped her arms around Lucy's neck, pulling her into a hug.

A surprised look covered Lucy's face as she grunted due to the force. "Um, okay..this is weird." Lucy joked, giving her a quick hug back.

Amy placed her hand over her mouth, trying to hold back tears at the sight of her sister and her wife finally sealing some sort of bond. Taylor moved back, looking into the eyes of her sister in law. She pointed sternly at her. "You better give her a good life or else." She punched Lucy in the arm then turned to wink at her sister. "I'll see you two over at the cake."

Lucy drew her brow together, placing her hand over the place where Taylor had hit her. She turned to watch the youngest join the party finally, feeling Amy's hand slip onto her shoulder. She turned to her wife, smiling warmly at her. "What is it with the people you know threatening me?" she questioned.

Amy shrugged. "What can I say? People love me."

The brunette grinned as she wrapped her arm around her wife's waist. "Well, I sure can't blame them." She pulled her close for a quick kiss. "Let's go cut the cake." She pointed at her. "And, do NOT shove any cake in my face, understand?"

Amy flashed her an innocent look. "Do I look like I would do something like that?"

Lucy raised an eyebrow as her deep brown eyes narrowed in a suspicious glare. She took her wife's hand. "I'm watching you, Bradshaw."

"Reynolds." she corrected as Lucy's smile spread slowly and further across her lips.....

They danced slowly together. Amy left one arm around her wife's neck as she brought her finger to her face. She ran it down her cheek, taking the icing from her face and bringing it to her lips. She tasted it, making a sound at the taste of it in her mouth. She swallowed, grinning at the expression on her wife's face.

"This icing is really good." Amy stated as Lucy's eyes narrowed.

"Yeah, thanks for following the whole 'don't shove it in my face' request." she replied.

Amy laughed. "Oh, like you followed your own rule."

Lucy grinned, wickedly. "Speaking of which, you've got something on your chin." She leaned forward, licking the icing from Amy's face.

The blonde's eyes instantly closed and she moaned causing Lucy to chuckle. She opened them quickly, staring at her wife. "Starting a little early, aren't you?"

Lucy pulled her closer. "I just can't wait anymore."

"Just a little while longer, Luce." She leaned forward, her head resting against her wife's as they moved to the music. "Then I'm all yours."

"I thought you were already mine?"

"You know what I mean."

Lucy moved back, looking into her eyes again. She reached up, brushing her hair away from her face. "Love me?" she questioned as Amy smiled at her.

"Always." she replied as Lucy smiled. She raised an eyebrow in a questioning stare. "Love me?"

"Forever." Lucy responded, softly as she pulled her even closer and kissed her once again....
