Beautiful Blonde
By Katherine Quinn
"You know, you could pretend to hide your blatant attraction." Alex said. Watching some sort of cops and robbers drama with at best a minimal plot, it was becoming more and more apparent why her lover was so insistent they never miss this one particular show.
"What are you talking about?" Olivia asked blushing, catching herself trying to eye the beautiful blonde with one eye and Alex with the other. Oh, god, she thought, as the skirt slid up while the blonde reached for the pen she dropped. Sure, it was obviously blatant that the writers were pointing out that the blonde was sexy, but Olivia found her neck arching trying to look down the very tight shirt that was center screen on their TV.
"You're staring, dear."
"It's a TV; you're supposed to stare at it." Olivia said defensively. She breathed a sigh of relief as a commercial rolled across the screen. Two minutes and thirty seconds until the blonde returned.
"You're not supposed to watch with that lusty look on your face." Alex responded.
"What makes you think that my `lusty look' is not me thinking of you?" Olivia asked. Go with reverse psychology, good move Benson, she congratulated herself.
"Because you only make that particular face when she's on the screen." Alex said, with derision, gesturing towards the screen.
"Well, she looks like you." Olivia noted. This wasn't going the way she had planned.
"Okay, not at all, but even if she did, I'm over here."
"I know that, it's just that, it's really well written?" Olivia suggested, hoping to end the conversation as the blonde was back from the commercial break.
"Oh please, you're a cop, when's the last time you solved a crime and prosecuted it in an hour?"
"I'm not saying it's realistic, I'm saying it's interesting. "
"You're hopeless." Alex said, trying not to smile.
"And yet you love me."
"What does that say about me?" she asked.
"That you're a remarkable woman with an infinite capacity for forgiveness?"
"You're lucky, Benson. You're damn lucky."
"I know." Olivia said, smiling as she pulled the beautiful blonde into her arms. "Besides, you know I only have eyes for you."
