Light and shadow captured together, needing each other, balancing and enhancing its opposite. The camera never stops, in her hand, always firing, looking for the perfect moment in time.

Gina called and she couldn't stop herself. Couldn't stop chasing the dream, the history, the potential to actually get through to her. The hope never stops, always returning, like the tide crashing on the beach.

Click. Click. Click.

She called Gina, it was time and she knew she should just go. Leave this place, leave her behind, in the past where this belongs. The hurt never stops, always lingering, lurking in the deepest recesses of her heart.

Click. Click.

The camera weighed heavy in her hand as they sat so close together on the bench. Light and shadow captured together, needing each other, balancing and enhancing its opposite. Their hope and their pain and their love, tangled and messy, was always between them, cherished and never forgotten. And her camera had found the perfect moment in time.

It had captured their goodbye.
