Heart of Bronze

Mrs. Fredrick looked sternly at the woman as she held on the to the solidified figure's hand. "You can't be serious."

"I-" The dark haired woman's eyes closed, tears falling down her face. "I'd do anything to be with her."

"But to be Bronzed-"

"What can I do out here without her? Live? Exsist? I can't," she said.

"I can't believe I am allowing this," the dark woman said, "again." She made a motion, and the dark haired woman slipped next to the bronzed figure.

"You can still back out. Be free of this-" Mrs. Fredrick said.

"No," came the curt reply. Her hand never left the bronzed one.

"So be it." Mrs. Fredrick put in a new command.

"MYKA BERRING, BRONZING IN PROCESS" announced the machine. Helena looked up at Mrs. Fredrick as the Bronzing process began.

"Thank you," she whispered, before she forced her head to look back at the already bronzed figure of her lover. "Soon, my love..."
