In Which Silvia Projects
Recap by Misty Flores

SARA'S APARTMENT

Sara starts off the episode with a voiceover, and sexy lingerie as she gets ready for her trip to surprise Lucas.

SARA: [VO] When we're kids, we start off with little, simple dreams. A strawberry popsicle, a doll who pees and cries, or that bicycle that has the horn on it. As we get older, our dreams change with us.

We see an image of Silvia crying in bed, Rita combing fingers through her hair in an effort to comfort her. We move to Mariano getting ready for his wedding.

SARA: [VO] And they become complicated. Just like us. And what happens is that the little doll becomes a new dress in which you intend to cross the Atlantic 5000 feet in the air to surprise your husband. But your dreams rip to pieces when you're confronted with reality.

Rita holds Silvia as she sobs.

SARA: [VO} Because the reality isn't always what our dreams want them to be. People aren't always who they appear to be. And neither are relationships, and least of all our dreams.

DL dances with a beautiful woman. Mariano hugs Paco.

SARA: [VO} And that reality is what puts everyone in their place. What someone thinks is black, could be white. And what someone thinks is white, is probably every single color of the spectrum. One knows how things begin.

Mariano punches the air next to Paco, furious.

And the dress Sara tried is on is now on the floor, next to her heels.

SARA: [VO} But no one knows how they will end.

RITA'S APARTMENT

Rita let's her in as Silvia sits despondently on Rita's couch, with a blanket and a teddy bear.

Sara comes in and excitedly shows off.

SARA: Tada!

RITA: Look! The Americans haven't seen the likes of her! You look so precious, Princess!

SARA: And won't Lucas get mad if I show up unannounced in Carolina? I'm a little nervous!

Silvia is wallowing in her bad mood.

SILVIA: If you want, I'll give you a piece of advice. They call me the philosopher's stone of personal relationships. It doesn't matter what relationship I'm in. It can be a man or a woman, tall or skinny or short or with two humps, they all leave through the back door.

RITA: Oh please, I would love it if the things that happened to you happened to me.

Sara comes in and snuggles with them.

SARA: like what?

RITA: That they leave through the door. It doesn't matter if they came in through the front door or the back door or through the window! If they leave, they had to come in first! And through this door, not one enters, not even the delivery man.

SARA: Rita, to let someone enter you have to leave the door half open. And in my opinion, your spectrum is a little narrow.

RITA: Well, I'm not like Silvia, who has an open buffet in front of her.

Silvia blinks and Sara laughs.

RITA: It doesn't matter to her if she has fish or beef! What fun that would be!

SILVIA: Well, I'll tell you one thing, Rita. I don't know if I'll ever go back to being with a man. It's better with a woman! It's much more beautiful. Sweeter!

Sara grins. Rita considers the thought, but laughs it off.

RITA: Come on! I need a macho man with a hairy chest that you can hang on to, and his thing hanging down!

SILVIA: Well, how do you know if you haven't tried it?

RITA: I don't know.

SARA: Maybe it's true what they say, when you come out of the closet, you don't ever go back in!

RITA: Well, I think that when it comes to that you have to be born that way.

Silvia stops smiling, lost in her heartbreak. The other two notice, and Sara gives her a comforting kiss on the temple.

SARA: And you? How are you? When is Pepa coming back?

SILVIA: She's asked for a week off without pay. But for me? It could be a year.

She laughs bitterly.

SILVIA: She can go to hell.

RITA: Don't say things like that, it's doesn't look good on you. Do you know where we're going? To bed. Right through there.

Sara nods. Silvia shakes her head, still lost in her Pepa heartbreak.

RITA: We're all going to bed! Because tomorrow we have to be at work.

SILVIA: Okay.

RITA: And you're staying here tonight. Because this late you won't find a taxi.

SILVIA: Okay.

RITA: I'll make up the sofa bed, because in the bedroom you won't sleep with the baby. I'll bring you a blanket so you won't be cold.

SILVIA: Thank you, Rita.

Sara kisses Silvia goodbye.

SARA: Rest!

As Rita leads Sara to the door, Silvia's sadness is poignant on her face.

THE PRECINT BATHROOM

Paco comes in on the phone with Lucas, and Aitor is stuck in the toilet as he listens in and realizes that Lucas is going on a dangerous assignment. Paco promises not to tell Sara anything. He remembers what happened to Lola and doesn't want Sara to suffer. Aitor is concerned, because he has given Sara a ticket to go visit Lucas for his birthday.

Mariano comes in and locates Povedilla and asks him to be the best man to his wedding. Paco pressures Povedilla to agree.

RITA'S LIVING ROOM

Silvia sobs quietly and desperately on the sofa bed. Rita tiptoes in and sees her, and with a sad sigh, heads back into her bedroom. She returns with the baby monitor and places it on the nearby furniture, and heads for Silvia's bed.

She settles down on it, and lovingly strokes Silvia.

RITA: Child…

SILVIA: Every night it's the same, Rita. I don't even know how to sleep alone.

RITA: This will pass. You'll see, it'll pass.

Silvia cries as Rita settles under the covers.

RITA: I'm here now. You're not alone anymore.

She kisses Silvia's shoulder. Silvia stirs and sees her. Gratefully, she turns and embraces Rita tightly.

She sighs raggedly and kisses Rita repeatedly on the neck and her cheeks, before wrapping her arms around her and leaning her head on her shoulder, taking comfort in her friend.

Rita blinks, unsure of what to do with this intimate embrace, but tightens her hold on Silvia regardless.

THE BRIEFING ROOM

Paco gathers Curtis, Nelson and Povedilla and tells them they have a new mission: stop Mariano's wedding. Curtis is reluctant to help - he says that he once dumped a girl when he was younger because she got sick with cholera. He regrets it and always thinks that if he had fixed it, he could have a family now. Povedilla thinks it's ugly to leave Salgado planted at the altar - he thinks they should support Mariano.

Paco convinces them that Mariano is not in love with Salgado needs to be saved. He asks whose with them. Everyone raises their hands. They have 24 hours to stop the wedding.

But they have no idea how to stop the wedding.

THE GARAGE

Aitor looks over Sara's car, trying to find something that will help him understand what the guys are after, but he finds nothing. Sara startles him with a drug dog, and as she starts to search the car with the dog, Aitor asks her how her plans to visit Lucas are progressing. She happily informs him that she's ready to buy a ticket.

Aitor isn't sure what to say, and Sara gets a call that her friend at a travel agency found her a good price. She heads off excitedly. Aitor sighs, conflicted. But then-

Two cops carry a woman into the garage.

COPS: Help! We found her at the door of the precinct!

They put her down.

AITOR: okay, let Silvia know. And get an ambulance! HURRY, DAMMIT!

He leans over her.

AITOR: Hey lady. Hey! Hey! Wake up!

Aitor tries to administer CPR. Silvia shows up with her medical bag.

SILVIA: What's happened?!

AITOR: I don't know, but she's not breathing and there's no pulse.

SILVIA: Find a need, and the adrenaline.

She takes over the CPR.

Aitor gives her the shot and she jams it into the girl's heart, but it's no good.

SILVIA: Come on!

The paramedics come and take over.

PARAMEDICS: How long has she been like this?!

AITOR: 8 or 10 minutes.

PARAMEDICS: Let us!

They push Silvia aside gently, give the girl air and grab the defibrillator.

Aitor and Silvia watch as they shock her three times – but nothing.

PARAMEDIC: Okay, leave it.

PARAMEDIC 2: Time of death, 907.

Silvia and Aitor are stricken.

THE BRIEFING ROOM

The Hombres still don't know how to stop the wedding. Nelson suggests drugging him or framing him for drugs to take him out of commission. Povedilla suggests distracting Mariano with another woman. Curtis jumps on that idea. He suggests a hooker, since they're running out of time.

The Hombres have no choice but to agree.

IN THE LAB

Rita and Montoya photograph the body. Rita comments on her breasts and tells Montoya that she's thinking of expanding her horizons, like Silvia. Montoya's not quite sure what she's talking about.

Rita thinks that she'd have more luck with woman than men. She's sweet and sensitive, and that a few of them would like her.

MONTOYA: Rita, what are we talking about exactly?

RITA: We're talking about... I think Silvia's made a pass at me. There I said it.

Montoya's jaw drops.

RITA: She was feeling really sad about Pepa, and she was looking for comfort. And I gave it to her. And we slept together.

Montoya is in shock that yet another woman he's interested in is considering taking the lesbian route.

BULLPEN

Nelson chatters to Aitor, and realizes something's wrong. He asks him what's wrong, and when Aitor doesn't tell him, he prods. Aitor asks him in a roundabout way what to do about Sara, Lucas and the forthcoming ill-fated surprise.

Nelson suggests he find a way keep the girl from going to surprise the boyfriend without her knowing why. Aitor thinks that's a brilliant idea, thanks him and walks away.

He walks past Silvia, who is engrossed in reading the file of the dead girl.

SILVIA [VO]: Lucia Suvillia Hernandez, 32 years old. Spanish born, lived in San Paolo since she was eight months old. She had a chronic heart condition. Divorced, she placed two statements of domestic violence against her ex-husband David Folch Espada who has had a prior record. In 2005 he was arrested for first degree murder but was declared innocent and was released without charges. Currently he is on probation for possession of firearms. He has a relationship with Augustin' Mendilibar… Arrested in 2007 for affiliation with a gang, having been for 3 years an employee of Fernando Uriarte.

Silvia lowers the paper. A member of Uriarte's gang was the one who shot her, and made her lose her baby.

The hooker hired by the guys shows up and puts on her badge, heading for the bullpen. Silvia heads to the files as the guys look on from Paco's office. They motion for the hooker to sit down and wait for Mariano.

Silvia grabs the file for Augustin Mendelibar and opens it, sees the picture, and suddenly remembers –

Raising her gun. Augustin shooting her.

It sinks in. Overwhelmed, she walks away.

MEANWHILE - Mariano walks in and the hombres direct the hooker to him. She works her magic, but he doesn't bite. Instead he gets up and says he has to go.

The plan hits another snag when DL sees the pretty lady and immediately starts flirting with her. The hooker doesn't know what to do and goes along with it, much to Curtis and the rest of the group's dismay.

THE LAB

Rita happily keeps chattering about her lesbian experience to an unnerved Montoya.

RITA: What a night of lust! With so much kissing! So much cuddling! So much hugging! And with all of that heat, how did we wake up? Completely sticky with sweat! I woke up with my nipples showing through my shirt!

Montoya wants to die. Silvia walks in, unaware of the conversation and it's focus on her intentions.

SILVIA: We've identified her. Lucia Suvillia Hernandez, 32 years old. She came to Madrid by airplane from Brazil approximately 4 hours before she died. Her ex had a restraining order placed against him. I think he could have killed her.

Montoya struggles valiantly to maintain professionalism.

MONTOYA: Let's see, Silvia. The report says that the cause of death was chronic heart failure due to her heart condition. She had the pills for her medication underneath her tongue, and she has no signs of violence on her. I don't think the judge will authorize this autopsy.

SILVIA: But I have a feeling! I want to open her up.

MONTOYA: Silvia, the judges I know don't authorize an autopsy for just a feeling.

SILVIA: Please.

He sighs.

MONTOYA: Give me some evidence, and I'll talk to the judge. Until then, this woman has died of natural causes.

Silvia drops the files on the counter.

SILVIA: You want evidence? You'll have evidence.

She grabs two pairs of gloves and hands one to Rita.

SILVIA: Rita.

RITA: Yes?

SILVIA: Help me examine the body, millimeter by millimeter.

She slings an arm around Rita and stares at Gonzalo challengingly. Both Montoya and Rita focus on Silvia's hand. Rita looks smug.

RITA: Sure.

Montoya wants to kick something. He swallows his tongue and walks out.

THE BULLPEN

Paco and the men watch horrified as DL flirts it up with the hooker. When Paco tries to tell him the truth, DL happily tells him they have a date and he thinks the new secretary really likes him. Paco yells at Curtis for accidentally hooking up DL with a hooker, and tells him the prostitute was supposed to break up Mariano's wedding.

The men are dismayed when they realize Mariano has overhead. Mariano is furious and pushes Paco into the wall and punches at the folders above him in his fury. He tells Paco that that's the last straw, and he will never set foot in Paco's house again.

SARA'S APARTMENT

Outside Sara's apartment, Sara is attacked by a mugger. She gets the better of him and arrests him.

PACO'S OFFICE

Paco sits, stricken with guilt. Curtis suggests that they show Mariano support for his marriage by throwing him a bachelor party.

THE LAB

Rita and Silvia are finishing up their outward body search.

SILVIA: At first glance, the victim only appears to have a bruise on the left thigh. From the color of the bruise it appears to have been made 72 hours ago. There is also a scar made from a laser on her side. This is certainly a plastic surgery scar from a breast implant. And that's it.

She turns off the recorder.

SILVIA: This can't be. We must be missing something.

Rita smiles nervously.

RITA: One thing. How does a woman feel when she sleeps with another woman?

SILVIA: I don't know. What do you feel when you sleep with a guy?

RITA: Some things. Little things, like tingles in the pit of my stomach. My toes curl. And palpitations down there…

Silvia glances at her, focused intently on the body.

RITA: Is that what it feels when a woman is with another woman?

Silvia shrugs.

SILVIA: I guess. Why are you asking me that?

RITA: Because… of what happened last night. We were there, and it was hot, and we were there … sweaty and the temperature was way up… neither of us had bras… Thighs against thighs… You were looking for my mouth… the thing is I don't know if … I want to widen my spectrum but I don't know if the palpitations I felt were the palpitations that I needed to feel. Do you get what I'm trying to say?

Silvia blinks, shocked.

SILVIA: Rita, you're mistaken.

RITA: It's nothing.

SILVIA: Just because I've had a lesbian relationship doesn't mean that I'm attracted to every woman.

Rita's smile fades.

SILVIA: To be honest, I'm not attracted to any woman, just Pepa. It's her that I've been missing – on the other side of the bed, at breakfast, the things we used to do together.

Rita is crestfallen.

RITA: It's just that you were kissing me. And holding me. My neck was so wet…

SILVIA: They were tears, Rita. Yes, I hugged you, because I was feeling vulnerable and you're my friend.

She smiles, softening the blow.

SILVIA: One of the few I have.

Rita smiles, touched.

RITA: Thank you.

SILVIA: Come here, dummy.

She kisses Rita warmly on the cheek and embraces her.

This, of course, is what Montoya walks in on. He nearly trips over himself, hesitating in the doorway.

MONTOYA: Sorry. We have the husband. Tomorrow we'll bring him in to interrogate him. We have a patrol car outside his house in case he tries to leave.

SILVIA: And what did the judge say?

MONTOYA: The autopsy will not proceed. If the husband confesses maybe…

Silvia doesn't like the news. She flings the judge's order at the table.

MONTOYA: Everything okay?

RITA: Just fine.

Silvia is not okay.

MONTOYA: Well, let's go home. Tomorrow's another day. Okay? He heads out.

Rita spots a file with Silvia's name on it. She grabs it.

RITA: Is this the casefile from when they shot you?

SILVIA: It's nothing. I was cleaning the house, and I found the file in a drawer.

She puts the file back and glares at the body.

CACHIS

Mariano leads in his father-in-law into Catchis, complaining about the women shopping. The manager instructs him to go into the darkened party room to serve him coffee and he ends up happily surprised when the bachelor party reveals itself. Paco gives him a picture of him, DL and Paco that says he'll always have a home with them.

Paco tells him he's spent his whole life warning off relationships: Lucas and Sara, Pepa and Silvia, and Salgado and Mariano, and the only one he didn't was Lola, and he's the only one left alone. Paco tells him he'll support Mariano if what he wants is to marry Salgado. Mariano hugs him.

DL comes in with the hooker, happy as hell.

AT THE PRECINCT

Sara questions her mugger, who breaks and tells her that someone hired him to mug her, and whoever it was a police officer. Sara asks him if she can point him out. He agrees.

Aitor watches from the other side of the glass, worried.

CACHIS

DL parties with the hooker, and Povedilla steps down as best man so Paco can be the new best man.

The hombres discuss what to do about DL and the hooker and Curtis decides to pay her for the night so DL does not find out she's a hooker.

PACO'S HOUSE

The next morning, Paco and Mariano discuss the father-in-law when DL comes in happily. He got laid and is thrilled about it. Mariano finds it hilarious. Paco finds DL so happy he starts laughing too.

DL tells Mariano that if what he wants is to get married he'll support him. Mariano looks at the picture of the three of them, after DL leaves, breaks down with the realization that he does NOT want to get married. He doesn't want to leave his home. He doesn't love Salgado. He begs Paco to help him. Paco hugs him and tells him he will.

THE LOCKER ROOM

Aitor and Sara get dressed for Mariano's wedding as they discussed the car situation and the mugger. Sara is afraid this could be corruption on the highest grade.

Aitor comes up with a plan - to take the car and when she thinks someone is following them, to leave the car. They'll put a GPS on it, and follow it.

THE BRIEFING ROOM

Once again the men are lined up as Paco tells them they have to figure out how to stop the wedding. Povedilla expresses concern at leaving Salgado at the altar, but Paco says they need to stop the wedding. Curtis comes up with the idea of sabatoging Salgado's ailing father's respirator and causing chaos to stop the wedding.

BULLPEN

Sara checks in on her mugger, but he can't find a picture of the man who hired him. She takes him into a room, and he sees Aitor through a window. He points him out as the guy. Sara is sure he's mistaken but he talks about a motorcycle, Cachis and where she lives - Sara realizes he's telling the truth.

THE LAB

Montoya comes in asking for Silvia. Rita tells him she's finishing up the interrogation of the ex-husband and will be in. Montoya takes the opportunity to nervously ask Rita if she actually had a sexual encounter with Silvia. Rita says no, that it was all in her head. But she thinks she needed to have that sort of fantasy - to believe someone would like her, even if it was someone of the same sex, because she's 39 and only been with one man.

Montoya says it's not like that, but Rita disagrees. She says that she's only getting older, and things don't get better, they get worse. She even believed that Montoya was in love with her.

Montoya struggles. He wants to say something.

MONTOYA: Rita…

Silvia once again interrupts.

SILVIA: The ex-husband confessed that he was four miles away from the precinct when they found the girl.

MONTOYA: That's irrelevant, Silvia.

SILVIA: You want something relevant?! Let me open her!

MONTOYA: That's impossible, the judge has ordered us not to pen her, I'm sorry!

SILVIA: I have to open her!

MONTOYA: You're not going to open her! The judge-

SILVIA: FUCK THE JUDGE! I know the ex-husband is responsible for her death!

MONTOYA: WHY!? WHY do you know it!? Why do you have that fucking feeling?!

He tries to get ahold of himself.

MONTOYA: Let's try to calm down. The mortician is coming, he'll take charge of the body. Okay? Let's go downstairs. We have a wedding.

IN THE BULLPEN

The wedding is about to begin. The men get in place to enact their plan to set off the father-in-law's respirator.

THE LAB

Rita shooes Montoya away.

RITA: Why don't you head down first. We'll catch up.

Silvia stays quiet, and determined. The second Rita closes the door behind Gonzalo, she heads for the computer and sets off a BIOHAZARD ALERT. The lab LOCKS DOWN as SIRENS wail.

Downstairs the guests wonder what's with the buzzing.

SILVIA: Let's open her, Rita. Give me the gloves.

Montoya comes running back, eyes widening in horror when he realizes what Silvia's doing.

OUTSIDE

Sara drives around in the car and thinks about Aitor and the fact that he hired someone to mug her. She realizes that she's being followed.

AT THE PRECINCT

The alarm keeps going. In the lab, Rita and Silvia both have coats on. Rita is overwhelmed.

Montoya bangs on the door. He begs Silvia to stop. Silvia glares at him and keeps going.

RITA: Silvia, think about this. You can lose your license, you could lose your badge, please!

SILVIA: This body is hiding something and I want to know what it is.

OUTSIDE

Sara is still being followed. She parks the car and walks away.

AT THE WEDDING

Salgado walks down the aisle. She lovingly strokes Mariano's face.

OUTSIDE

Sara watches someone steal her car. She gets up and hops in when Aitor drives up, so they can go back to the wedding, but she pulls a gun on him and tells him to stop the car.

AT THE WEDDING

The wedding starts.

IN THE LAB

Rita helps Silvia with her mask, but still battling to reason with her.

RITA: You have to stop with this obsession. We've examined this poor woman millimeter by millimeter. I haven't touched a woman so much in all my life!

Montoya calls for back up.

MONTOYA: I need four uniforms at the lab NOW!

RITA: And I'll tell you that to touch a woman isn't a bad thing – especially when she's alive. … but you know that already, right?

She laughs nervously as Silvia yanks the scalpel from her.

Silvia prepares to cut open the body. Rita grabs her before she can do it.

RITA: Wait. What are you looking for, Silvia? What is making you associate so much with this body? Tell me.

SILVIA: Rita, I want the murderer to come to justice. It's our obligation.

RITA: obligation…

Rita battles. Silvia holds the scalpel over the body. Rita's phone rings. It's Montoya.

RITA: Yes?

MONTOYA: Rita for the love of God tell her to stop. Tell her it's an order.

RITA: He's asking please. He's begging. It's an order. Please Silvia, stop. Please don't continue, he's begging you. He's begging.

Silvia stares at Montoya, who silently begs her to put the scalpel down. Silvia instead slices into the body.

AT THE WEDDING

Povedilla tries to set off the alarm. Nothing happens. Mariano is shitting a brick.

IN THE LAB

Blood spurts over Silvia, but she keeps going.

MONTOYA: Rita!

RITA: Yes!

MONTOYA: Tell her that she's disobeying a direct order from a superior!SILVIA!

She hears him, glares at him.

MONTOYA: You're going to lose your head!

RITA: Silvia, Silvia – he's saying that you're disobeying a direct order, please-

Silvia calmly reaches for Rita's phone and grabs it out of her hands.

RITA: Please think of the consequences-

Silvia drops the phone in a glass jar of liquid.

Four officers come running.

MONTOYA: Drop this door now!

They try. It's not budging.

MONTOYA: Get me a sledgehammer. NOW.

He glares at the guys.

MONTOYA: Come on, it's a door! Get out of the way.

He tries to break it down. No such luck.

AT THE WEDDING

Officers run for a sledgehammer. Povedilla tries again to set off the alarm. They have no reception.

OUTSIDE

Sara confronts Aitor about hiring someone to mug her. He tries to lie to her and tell her it was because he didn't want them to be together.

IN THE LAB

Rita picks up the file and Silvia works.

RITA: Augustin Mendilibar. Why does this name sound familiar to me?

Silvia looked up and takes the file out of her hands.

SILVIA: Leave that alone, Rita.

Rita just grabs it again.

RITA: [reading] Two charges of domestic violence to his wife…

She keeps reading, and looks up at Silvia.

RITA: He has a relationship with Augustin Mendilibar, detained in 2007 for affiliation with an armed gang.

Rita comes forward.

RITA: He was one of Uriarte's men, right? Her husband was a friend of the man who shot you. That's why you're so obsessed with this case, right?

Silvia stares at her, face smeared with blood.

SILVIA: Don't talk nonsense, Rita. It has nothing to do with it.

RITA: It has nothing to do with it?

SILVIA: No.

RITA: Look at yourself. You just have to see yourself. You're obsessed. Totally obsessed.

SILVIA: No, Rita. I'm obsessed with doing my job well.

RITA: No, sweetheart. You're not obsessed with your job you're obsessed with something that will never bring back your baby.

Silvia freezes. The scalpel drops as tears flood her eyes. She begins to sob.

Rita pulls her into her arms and holds her tight.

RITA: Come here.

She motions to Montoya to keep his distance.

OUTSIDE

Sara accuses AItor of lying, and threatens to shoot him if he doesn't tell her the truth. Aitor finally admits the truth: Lucas is on a secret mission in Beruit, and no one told her because they didn't want her to worry. He says he's sorry and tells her they're too late for the wedding but they can still follow the car. They drive off.

IN THE LAB

Silvia tries to recover as Rita plays with the breast implant.

SILVIA: It's the breast implant from the body.

RITA: It's like a balloon!

She squishes it.

RITA: It's leaking. Should I put it away?

Silvia freezes and has a 'house' moment. She grabs the implant from Rita and holds it to the light.

She gasps.

SILVIA: We have it, Rita!

Montoya finally gets his sledgehammer. Silvia keeps working, removing the other implant.

Montoya loses his patience and starts banging away.

AT THE WEDDING – DL wants to know what the hell is going on when the racket starts.

Silvia takes some of the liquid out of the silicone implant. Montoya keeps banging. The guests wince.

Silvia is undisturbed as Montoya keeps banging. She calmly works.

Silvia tests the liquid. It turns pink. She grins, delighted.

SILVIA: Open the door when I tell you to.

She runs for her computer and unlocks the door.

SILVIA: Now!

Rita unlocks the door. Montoya nearly falls in.

MONTOYA: Silvia! For this! You're going to lose your head!

Silvia lifts the tube proudly.

SILVIA: Cocaine! 97% pure! It was injected and mixed into the silicone implant. One ripped and that's what caused the overdose. The implant has a serial number. Talk to Interpol, and it won't be difficult to find the doctor who put the implant inside her.

Montoya stares at her incredulously.

SILVIA: It wasn't the ex-husband. Rita had reason. I was obsessed with our child. I'm sorry. I'll accept any disciplinary measures you want to take against me.

Montoya doesn't know what to say.

AT THE WEDDING

Officers charge up the stairs with a sledgehammer. Paco silently tries to instruct Nelson to grab the receiver that fell that will set off the alarm, but as he tries to get closer the sledgehamming shakes the whole precinct, and the little coin gets lost.

Mariano stands up as Salgado takes her vows. Looking at her, he can't say no.

Mariano is married. The hombres are stricken.

IN THE CAR

Sara demands to know why Aitor didn't tell her about Lucas. She can believe that Lucas and Paco treat her like a porcelain doll, but AItor?

Aitor can't answer - they've just pulled up to the Palace of Zarzuela - the official residence of the king. They watch, astounded as Sara's car drives into the gates.
