Remember
By itsalovestory

I remember.

I remember the way it once was, the way we once were. It was a cloudy day, but all I could see was the sunshine of your smile. All I could feel was the warmth of your eyes, deep and fathomless.

I took your hand. We ran barefoot in the sand, leaving imprints of where we had been beneath our feet. Wrapping you in my arms, I knew that's where I belonged. You left an imprint on my heart.

I wanted.

I pointed across the Pacific, surf and sky and sand mixing and melding to create the sea. I wanted to take you away, show you the world. Show you me. The dark, the deep, the hidden, the horrible parts inside. I knew I wasn't perfect.

I needed.

You smiled and laughed, delightful and desirable. I was lost in your eyes, lost in your love. You made me feel strong, yet weak. You made me feel safe, yet free. You made me love you.

I couldn't.

I couldn't wait another moment to kiss you, to feel your lips pressed against mine. They were soft and sure, wet and warm. Your kisses made me tingle to my toes. As you wrapped your hands in my hair, I knew that's where I always desired to be. You left an imprint on my soul.

I'll always remember, Ani.
