Natalia wrinkled her nose, and stirred her drink. "Well, the worst that I've seen had to have been when the blood exploded all over me."
The other brunette choked on her soda, "blood exploded?"
"Yeah, as in blood samples. It was disgusting." Natalia shivered, "It took days for the smell to completely wash off."
Both women were quiet once again, letting the atmosphere of the diner wash over them. Lindsay took the opportunity to study the Latina woman once more. Something intrigued her about her, but she didn't know what it was.
Maybe it was the way her caramel hair hung down into her eyes; every now and then she would brush it aside, giving Lindsay a view of an elegant mocha hand. Or maybe it was her eyes dark brown and warm, almost like Stella's
After a minute, she decided to ask a question that had been bothering her. "So, are you seeing anyone?"
Immediately, there was a light in the other woman's eyes, and her whole demeanor changed slightly, as if the very thought of that person made her that way. "Yes, actually."
Lindsay didn't know whether to bash her head against the table or smile back. "That's great. How long have the two of you been together?"
"Um, three months." Natalia replied shyly, though she was positively glowing.
"Well, she must be someone very special to get a hold of you." Lindsay said, finally allowing herself a small smile. Lucky girl, whoever she is.
"Yeah I am."
