8x11: No Fear
Recap by Misty Flores

Previously on LHDP: Paco and the team invaded a birthday party to get information on Bravante, and even though Aitor and Sara decided to have sex in the middle of an operation, they ended up catching Bravante and fingering a whole slew of bad guys. Meanwhile, Silvia and Pepa cemented their commitment to each other when Pepa renounced her top 5 fantasies (including Angelina Jolie).

CANTINA MEXICANA

Pepa and Silvia stare at each other adoringly over the table. It's clear that at that moment, no one else exists.

SILVIA: [VO] They say that falling in love is a reflex. Something that you can't learn or control, like breathing.

We see a flashback of Pepa and Silvia's first kiss in the bathroom – their fingers tangle. In the present, their fingers tangle.

SILVIA: [VO] I don't believe it's like that.

More flashbacks: Silvia and Pepa in the hanger. Pepa and Silvia making love in the cabin.

SILVIA: [VO] I had to learn how to love a woman because I fell in love with one. I learned how to walk holding on to her waist, to shudder with desire in her bed, and to have my wardrobe double in my closet.

Silvia grins – a flashback of Silvia and Pepa's make up scene from last season.

SILVIA: [VO] And I did it with the same fear and trepidation as a five year old girl learning how to ice skate for the first time.

Another flashback – touching hands. More adoring, in love glances. They've never looked so happy.

SILVIA: [VO] Tomorrow is my wedding day. And I'm no longer afraid.

They've become the last in the restaurant. Pepa blows out the candle.

PEPA: We're going to have to leave. Tomorrow we're getting married, Redhead. And I think we need to rehearse for the wedding night.

Silvia grins at the suggestive remark and the way Pepa's foot smoothes up her calf.

SILVIA: We can't sleep together tonight.

PEPA: Why?

SILVIA: You know what they say! The night before, we can't see each other or touch each other or anything! I want to do things right. We'll stay separated. And tomorrow I'll see you as I walk to the altar on my Dad's arm, and there you'll be, looking beautiful!

Pepa smiles at the fantasy.

PEPA: Is that what you really want?

SILVIA: No! But I want to at least try!

PEPA: Okay.

She caresses her face lovingly, and they both take the shots left for them, before heading to the door. Before exiting, they stop, hearing music. It's 'Castaway – by Barrie Gledon'.

Without speaking, they move together, and begin to 'dance' – which is really just an insanely touching amount of sexy touching. They're completely in love.

After a moment of reveling in her lover, Silvia whispers into Pepa's ear:

SILVIA: Pepa, if you dance the waltz this badly, I won't marry you!

She jumps out of Pepa's arms and flees for the door, leaving Pepa surprised. Pepa begins to laugh as she follows her out.

PEPA: [lovingly] You're such a bitch!

CREDITS

SARA'S APARTMENT - Sara flashes onto things that are to come, including images of Lucas getting shot. Of course she's in bed with Aitor as this happens. He comforts her, telling her that he's used to sharing her with Lucas. She tells him that's not it and that she's afraid bad things are coming. He comforts her some more.

MEANWHILE – at Paco's house, Lucas calls Paco, Mariano and Don Lorenzo consecutively. Paco and Mariano are unsure of what to do, and decide that Lucas must have surely landed by now. Don Lorenzo tells him he won't pick up the phone because he's no friend to Lucas. If he was, he would have already told him what awaited him in San Antonio, but no matter, he'll soon find out.

Paco presses his hankie to his face in nervousness.

IN THE GARAGE - at the precinct, Povedilla readies DL's car to take Silvia to the wedding, and listens to instructions from DL who tells him to buy 32 flowers of a specific type: Gladiolus, for Silvia, since she wanted them for Lucas' wedding but couldn't have them.

AN: Gladiolus Flowers mean strength and moral integrity; generosity, sincerity and infatuation. They're a member of the Iris family.

Povedilla promises to do the tasks and also is warned by DL not to let anything get put on the car or any thing cheesy tied to it.

Povedilla receives the order just in time to stop Kike and Nelson from tying cans to the bottom of the car. He gets some advice from Kike to buy the flowers at the cemetery and throws stuff into the truck and misses the fact that there are two naked, beaten dead bodies in the truck.

IN THE BULLPEN - Rita, dressed in orange, sees Gonzalo across the way and nervously approaches him. She taps him on the shoulder, and sees him in his orange tie. Rita nervous rambles about how she wasn't sure if he was sincere about them going to the wedding together, but is shut up when he kisses her breathless in the middle of the precinct. The group around them whistles.

Curtis interrupts to tell Montoya that the Italian police are here to take Francesca, their witness and Bravante's wife. Montoya refuses, she's protected by this precinct. He sees Salgado with the two cops and goes up to them.

THE CEMETERY - Povedilla argues with the flower sales girl because he only wants 32 gladiolas and she wants him to take the whole funeral wreath. He says it's not appropriate for a homosexual wedding and ONLY wants the flowers. He ends up hopping out of the car to pay for everything, (and put an end to the argument), but someone sneaks to the open car and takes off with it.

Inside the trunk one of the bodies comes to and FREAKS out as the car drives away. Also freaking out is Povedilla, who chases after the car.

Povedilla calls Montoya in a panic, and tells him that they've stolen the car. Montoya takes down the plate number and tells him to calm down. Montoya places a report and tells Povedilla to take it easy.

Inside the car, the poor injured man keeps yelling for help.

AT THE PRECINCT - Montoya argues with Salgado, telling her that Francesca is under their protection and they won't let her go. Salgado tells him Francesca has to answer questions regarding the mafia and then they can let her go.

Montoya decides to agree, but only if they escort her too, with their own officers. He orders Rita to put it together. When one of the Italians protests, saying they were sent to escort her, he tells him he will, but with their own agents. He tells Curtis to go with them.

AT THE WEDDING SITE - Kike and Nelson arrive with the decorations. As waiters come to help them unload, up on a nearby mountain top, the Mafia watches. One of the henchmen tells the others to tell El Gordo that people have started to arrive.

SARA'S HOUSE - Aitor sits back on Lucas and Sara's bed to make a video gift for the girls.

AITOR: Brunette, Redhead, what's up? I was going to give you a trip, or the usual thing, but I think those things are easily forgotten so I thought I could make you this video instead. I think to many you're an example, because you have the first homosexual wedding in the force, but to me it means a lot more.

Sara comes in and watches him talk. As he talks, you see flashbacks of the Aitor/Sara relationship.

AITOR: Because you didn't listen when the whole world told you it was forbidden, that it wasn't convenient. You've reached the top of the 8000 feet, even if the journey was cold and uninviting, and you're breathless, just to have for a short moment, the world at your feet. It's as short as the life of a butterly. Honestly, I wish you all the happiness.

He shuts off the video. Sara is touched and makes out with him, but flashes to more bad things, and pulls away.

PACO'S HOUSE - Paco irons his shirt as Mariano comes in. Mariano starts to arm himself, and warns Paco that Lucas doesn't just let things go. He thinks they should be prepared. Paco grabs a gun too.

Mariano tells Paco to speak with Sara.

DL comes out with a bunch of ties.

DL: I need to pick a tie. What do you think of the mauve one? It's the right tone, right? For a homosexual wedding? It's good?

Mariano grins. Someone bangs at the door.

PACO: The mauve one, Don Lorenzo. The mauve.

DL: The mauve. [To Mariano] The mauve?

Mariano grins and smiles. Pepa charges in and throws her bags on the sofa. She's EXTREMELY upset.

PEPA: Your daughter is a brave mother fucker, Don Lorenzo!

Everyone stares at her, stunned.

PEPA: She has your fucked up character, doesn't she?

DL: What?

PACO: Pepa-

She backs away from him.

PEPA: I can't take any more of this, Paco! I'm not getting married, okay? I don't care, I'm not getting married!

No one knows what to say. Pepa looks at them, and suddenly her scowl turns into a mischievous smile. She starts to laugh.

PEPA: It was a joke! A joke!

PACO: [exasperated] You are such a brat!

PEPA: I just wanted to freak you out! Silvia kicked me out to get dressed with the guys!

DL shakes his head in disgust.

PEPA: Can I or not?

PACO: Come in! Come in!

She grabs her dress and heads inside.

THE INTERROGATION ROOM - Curtis comes in to see Francesca, and is startled when Blackman (Yay!) is standing right beside her. Blackman prepares to take Francesca with him, but Curtis tells him she's under their protection. Blackman points out the planned route and tells him there's no way he can actually protect Francesca. He tells Curtis to call his superior. Francesca asks about her kids. Blackman assures her they're okay.

Curtis calls DL and tells him he's with Blackman.

LIZARRAN

Paco gets ready to give his speech.

PACO: Sis, I love you. I don't know… I never imagined that you would get married, and not because you like women, but because ever since you were a kid, you were like this – you were a wild child, independent – a free spirit. But I'm really happy that you're getting married, because I think that a partner, being with someone, is the best thing in the world. When you find them, its' forever. From that moment on, your biography isn't just your own story, it's the story of someone else. They leave their own mark, and the time you have with them, that will be forever. I love you.

We see flashbacks to Lola, Aitor and Sara watch, emotionally touched.

PACO: And you too, sister-in-law. You were my in-law before, but… you're my sister-in-law once again. And one more thing.

He digs a puzzle piece out of his wallet and begins to read from it, tearing up.

PACO: 'My name is Pepa. I am six years old. For my brother, always'.

He's openly crying now as he shakes and puts it away. Sara comes up to him and tells him that she never understood what happened with him and Lola, and because she didn't understand it she never asked. But she gets it now. He tells her they need to talk. Aitor leaves.

PACO'S HOUSE - On the phone, DL asks Curtis what Blackman says. Curtis tells him, and DL tells him to go with Blackman and not to leave Francesca's side. Curtis asks if that's an order. DL says it can't be. Curtis understands.

AT THE CEREMONY - the Mafia monitors the wedding site.

PACO'S HOUSE - DL hangs up and frowns.

PEPA: Don Lorenzo. Don Lorenzo!

He looks up, and turns around, and sees Pepa walking into the room in her wedding dress, looking as nervous as a teenager.

He stares. She waits.

DL: Can I tell you something?

PEPA: Please.

DL: I can understand why my daughter fell in love with you. You're beautiful.

Pepa sighs.

PEPA: Can I tell you something?

DL: Of course.

PEPA: I have no fucking idea how to dance a waltz, Don Lorenzo.

LIZARRAN - Paco attempts to talk to Sara about the whole Lucas/Aitor debacle but she tells him to let her live her own life and make her own mistakes. Salgado walks in and goes to sit down at the bar.

THE GARAGE - The police deliver DL's car, that they found abandoned on the side of the road. Povedilla is beside himself with relief. He thanks Montoya, but before he can get too excited, he opens the truck and sees the dead bodies. He calls Montoya over.

LIZARRAN - Salgado tells Paco that she's leaving, now that Francesca's being transferred she has no reason to be here. She shares an awkward kiss with him and Paco leaves.

PACO'S HOUSE - Waltz music plays as Don Lorenzo and Pepa dance together.

PEPA: Would you mind if I lead?

DL: You want to lead me? Why?

PEPA: Because I'm going to have to lead Silvia at the wedding.

He laughs.

DL: Well then! In that case, This goes here, this goes here, and this goes here!

They switch places and keep dancing.

PEPA: You know what? I like you as a father-in-law. I can imagine myself on any given afternoon, heading to your house, sitting on the couch and watching the Tour de France with you. Or a concert. Or a game. And I like that you have a temper. Because you say things to people's faces.

DL smiles, pleased.

DL: Well, now that you've been sincere with me I'll tell you a secret. If you ever leave the shampoo bottle open, your life is in danger.

PEPA laughs.

DL: One minutes Silvia is marvelous, the next- run for your life! And when she's impossible – you call me. Let her calm down, come to my house and your father-in-law will be waiting for you with a marvelous paella. And then a dom perignon!

Pepa laughs again.

DL: Yes?

They finish their waltz with a flourish and a laugh, before DL's phone starts ringing and he grabs it.

DL: Yes? Pove- [he listens, smile falling off his face] Calm down, Povedilla. Talk slowly.

AT THE WEDDING SITE - the Mafia gets ready for their assault, pulling out rifles and listening in on the CB. The second-in-command tells El Gordo that the police found the dead bodies.

THE PRECINCT - It's Rita's turn for her wedding video and flashbacks with Montoya.

RITA: Princesses, I only want to tell you one thing. I may not have a lot of experience, I was left at the altar, pregnant, and with the twin brother of the man I was supposed to marry! But, I realized then and there that life is unexpected – it's not a game, and before you know you're the part of something rare. And you've won the game! And what I'm trying to say is that… we're all a little odd, and I believe in the rare love affairs and the unexpected… and when you toss the bouquet, I'm going to dive after it like a crazy person! I'm so happy to see you together. I wish you all the best, and I love you so much.

She sends them kisses.

THE CEMETARY - Francesca, Curtis and Blackman walk in circles around the cemetary. Curtis complains like crazy, and wonders what the hell they're doing there. Blackman tells him they're enjoying the day, and also making sure Francesca gets to the courthouse alive.

THE LAB - DL wonders why there are corpses in his car. Povedilla comes in and swears to him that had nothing to do with it. Montoya tells him they didn't have any identification on them. He gets a call and leaves. As he does, he holds the door open for Silvia.

Silvia, dressed and ready as a bride in her wedding dress, observes the bodies.

SILVIA: These are the cadavars.

She grabs her gloves, ready to get to work.

DL: Daughter-

SILVIA:-Dad. Don't say anything, please.

DL: The forensics inspector is on the way, you and I are going to the wedding.

SILVIA: Dad, these cadavars appeared in the trunk of your car. The car taking me to my wedding. I think I have the right to know what's happened.

THE CEMETERY - Montoya calls Curtis. Blackman tells him not to pick it up, but Curtis says it's his career he's ruining, and he ignores him.

Blackman tells him not to say anything, but Curtis tells Montoya where they are. Montoya tells him he'll be right there. Blackman sighs.

THE LOCKER ROOM- Pepa, with Rita's help, puts her make up on while Silvia looks over the dead bodies in the LAB, recording what she sees.

SILVIA: Subject B – Male. Medium build…

Rita excitedly begins to put make up on Pepa.

SILVIA: … Brown. Hour of death approximately 11AM… He appears to have major damage to the right eyeball, and ecchymosis extending over the upper and lower left eyelid…

As she speaks, Rita puts eyeshadow on Pepa, then watches as Pepa puts on mascara.

SILVIA: Displacement fracture of the mandible with loss of some dental pieces…

Rita puts on Pepa's lips.

SILVIA: Blows to the front facial region are evident as well as a severe collapse of the nose.

Rita puts on Pepa's cheeks.

SILVIA: Subject B has synthetic fibers under his fingernails which correspond with the trunk of the car in which the bodies were found…

Rita does Pepa's nails.

SILVIA: …The man was alive when he was put in the trunk and fought desperately to get out till his death, as a result of the trauma, probably from intracranial hemorrhaging.

PACO'S HOUSE - Mariano's turn for a monologue.

MARIANO: Hi girls! Well… I don't know much about lesbian weddings, well, honestly, not even the straight ones. I went from a marriage with a restraining order, to becoming a widow thanks to a car bomb, to being stuck in a virgin wedding with a superior… and a lot of other stuff, but… in the end I ended up with Paco. It's not too bad, huh? The bachelors! But Paco and I are missing something that you both have. We don't have a partner, who caresses us with their foot underneath the covers. I wish you the best, and best of luck. I hope you love each other for the rest of your lives. Really.

Aitor packs up, but Mariano tells Aitor that he can't go to the wedding, and lets him in on Lucas coming to the wedding. He tells him that it's better if he doesn't go. He says he's sorry and leaves him. Aitor is stunned.

A plane lands as Sara stares at herself in the mirror.

THE CEMETARY - Montoya yells at Blackman, saying he has no authority to take Francesca out of the precinct. Blackman says he himself didn't think that she would be safe in the hands of the Italian police, but Montoya ignores that and says they're going to the courthouse. When Blackman questions it, he decides to arrest him and orders a reluctant Curtis to read him his rights, which he only does after Montoya pulls a gun on Blackman.

They're interrupted when Salgado calls and delivers shocking news: The caravan was attacked and two agents are dead, the Italian agents are missing, and so is Francesca. Francesca hears this and is horrified.

Salgado asks him if he knows where she is. Montoya replies that he does not. Salgado sighs and hangs up.

THE BULLPEN - Salgado looks back and watches Paco proudly leads Pepa down the stairs.

IN THE GRAVEYARD – Blackman hands up Montoya's phone.

BLACKMAN: They've put a trace on your cellphone.

As Pepa and Paco walk down the stairs to whistles and claps, Blackman puts Montoya's cellphone in a vase of water. He looks at Curtis.

BLACKMAN: And yours too.

MONTOYA: Curtis, I'm going to pick up the judge. Don't move from here.

Curtis dumps his phone too. Pepa and Paco kiss and hug as they make it down the stairs. Montoya leaves the trio. Francesca looks terrified.

Pepa is swarmed my well wishers and shows off her dress. Paco, meanwhile, grabs hold of Povedilla, who is walking by.

PACO: What the hell are you doing here, Povedilla? You were supposed to go pick up Silvia at her house!

POVEDILLA: She's not at her house, Inspector.

PACO: What?!

POVEDILLA: She's upstairs in the lab. She decided to do the autopsies of the bodies! In her wedding dress, and her make up and her hair, and all of it! You have to see it, Inspector!

He looks back and realizes that Pepa's heard everything. And she's not happy.

Pepa glares upstairs, and matter of factly hikes up her dress and heads for the lab.

PACO: Pepa!

She glares at him, and keeps going.

Povedilla tries to apologize.

PACO: Shut up. Go.

Povedilla goes. Paco looks back and sees Salgado is upset. He goes over and asks her what she's doing, he thought she'd have been gone to Brussels. Salgado says she's going to Barcelona instead, as she's been suspended without pay: she's fucked up and now there are three bodies because of it.

Paco tries to comfort her, but she says she only needs to leave. She asks him to come visit her in Barcelona if he's ever that way. He says he might have to go because his ex is there, but maybe he could see them both. Salgado kisses his cheek goodbye and leaves. Paco watches her go, torn.

CEMETARY - Blackman leads Curtis and Francesca quickly through the cemetery, as the place is no longer secure. He realizes they're no longer alone and asks Curtis for his gun. Curtis won't give it to him, and Blackman points out that he's not exactly a good enough shot to hit two men in two different places at the same time. Curtis realizes they're surrounded. Blackman grabs hold of the gun and tells Curtis to protect her from behind.

IN THE LAB - Silvia is still working on her reports. The phone rings. She picks up.

SILVIA: Yes?

PEPA: (on phone) Darling, are you on your way? Don't make me wait more than the usual five minutes, okay?

SILVIA: Yes… I'm.. I'm just leaving, Pepa! Wait for me there?

PEPA: I don't want to wait for you.

She opens the door.

PEPA: I can just see you here.

Silvia freaks out, whirling.

SILVIA: Turn around, Pepa, fuck! Dammit, we're in our wedding clothes!

Back turned, Pepa backs ups.

PEPA: May I ask what the fuck you're doing here, Silvia?

SILVIA: Pepa, these bodies appeared in my dad's trunk!

PEPA: Mother Fucker! What do I care where the hell they came from? What do you want to do now? Exchange the church for the morgue?

SILVIA: Pepa, you're blowing things out of proportion. We've got a whole hour!

PEPA: Me?! I'm blowing things out of proportion?! Look, someone told me yesterday that they wanted to do things right. Is this what you meant? Opening up two dead bodies in your wedding dress the day of our wedding?! Is that doing things right to you, Silvia, fuck!

SILVIA: Well, I don't know, you tell me, if you're such an expert on doing things right!

Pepa sucks in her breath and tries not to lose her temper.

SARA'S APARTMENT - Aitor walks in to see Sara getting ready for the wedding. He hugs her fiercely and starts to cry. They kiss. Whatever. He gives her the DVD to give to Pepa and Silvia and tells her he's not going to the wedding.

IN THE LAB - Pepa's calmed down a little.

PEPA: I've always heard, Silvia, that the day of her wedding, the bride has something new, something old and something blue. But I've never heard of two bodies in a trunk. One thing: the rule of the wedding says that it's bad luck to see the bride in her wedding dress before the wedding, right? But does it say anything about kissing her?

Silvia smiles.

SILVIA: No. They say you can't touch the night before, but with the dress, the only rule is not see it.

PEPA: Well in that case, close your eyes, Redhead.

She does. They turn around and carefully feel for each other, 'seeing' each other with their fingertips.

PEPA: I can tell you're beautiful, Future Mrs. Miranda.

SILVIA: I can tell you're beautiful, Future Mrs. Castro.

They kiss, and embrace. DL comes in.

DL: Leave it, let's go!

He blinks at the scene.

DL: What, you can't wait just a moment?!

They smile and Pepa pulls back, kissing her hand and heading for the door.

PEPA: Five minutes, Silvia! Don't be any later.

SILVIA: Okay.

DL closes the door after her.

DL: Let's go, Silvia! They're waiting for us!

She eyes the bodies.

SILVIA: Five minutes.

SARA'S APARTMENT - Aitor starts to pull his stuff out of the closet (really?! He was REALLY living there? What a tool), telling Sara that he's done with this farce and it's over. She begs him to stay (whatever), because it's only been 8 days out of their last 11. Aitor says he can't sit around for this to blow up in his face. Sara says this place is his (whatever). Aitor says if they go together, something bad will happen – she knows it, she's dreamt it. Sara doesn't care (of course), and that at her last wedding (you know, WITH HER HUSBAND), she got shot, and nothing worse could happen after that. It'll be okay if they're together. Aitor says there is no turning back. Sara promises to go with him.

And then TWO MAFIOSOS kill some park cops who were there protecting the wedding.

THE CEMETARY - The two 'Italian Agents' come up on either side of Blackman but he stays calm and points the gun at both.

IN THE LAB - Silvia is still working.

DL: Honey, they're waiting for us! Let's go!

But Silvia is on to something.

SILVIA: Dad, they were already in the trunk when they stole the car. The blood is really congealed. It was four or five hours since they had gotten hit. What if the thieves opened the trunk, saw the dead bodies and ran?

DL: Silvia… please. Can't you at least for one hour stop being a forensics scientist? To get married?

Silvia sighs, and finally smiles.

DL: Yes? Please? Silvita? Please?

He offers her his arm and they leave.

DL: Ladies' first. [at the door] One moment please.

He shuts the door. Silvia's cellphone begins to ring.

SILVIA'S PHONE: Hello, this is Dr. Silvia Castro's voicemail. Please leave a message.

AGENT: Inspector Castro. The DNA identification of the samples you gave us have a positive match. The bodies are Fabio Cosacurta and Piero Delaroma, agents of the Italian Republic. I'm sending you the complete report.

The CEMETARY - The bad guys demand Blackman hand over Francesca. Blackman refuses, and says if they shoot him he'll shoot back. They shoot him. But he's bad ass and invincible, so he shoots back and kills them both.

THE GARAGE - Povedilla cleans out the trunk as Salgado gets to her car. Paco jumps in with her and asks her why she's doing this to him, telling him she loves him, his best friend's 'wife', and then just up and leaving him. She apologizes, but is sincere in how she feels.

Paco kisses her gently, and asks her to be his date to his sister's wedding. She smiles and nods, but Mariano is there, shocked, to witness his best friend and his 'ex' wife making out.

Lucas calls, interrupting, and as Paco gives him instructions for the wedding, Povedilla comes up to Mariano to tell him he found teeth in the trunk.

AT THE WEDDING - The lead henchmen watches a car headed for the wedding and goes to talk to El Gordo. El Gordo complains about the cheese. Lead Henchmen thinks they should go back to Italy because things are getting WAY complicated.

El Gordo won't hear of it. He says the reason why the Italian Mafia is so successful is because when they're hit, they hit back 100 times harder, and they know how to rule by fear.

EL GORDO: I'm going to hit those who have hit us, and no one will survive.

Paco stands with Pepa at the altar. He kisses her hand.

EL GORDO: We'll kill them all.

Paco smiles at Salgado. Mariano glares at the scene in disbelief and then glares at Aitor. Aitor responds by grabbing hold of Sara's hand. Mariano motions for Paco to see it. Paco is disturbed.

Montoya lovingly tangles fingers with Rita. Povedilla watches, torn.

As El Gordo loads a clip into his blinged out gun, the group watches enraptured as Silvia appears on the doorstep with her father, ready to walk down the aisle.

Pepa watches.

PEPA: [VO] They say to fall in love is an action of reflex, like being afraid.

Silvia goes down the aisle to her. Pepa smiles, so happy.

PEPA: [VO] I was a child without fear. Ghosts didn't scare me, and neither did monsters or the dark. I could look under the bed completely sure that there were no skeletons or vampires. I could stand up to a girl five years older than me, secure that they couldn't steal my lunch. And it's always been like that, until now, knowing I could grab hold of a Magnum and run into an alley in the middle of a crossfire, because it's not that that makes me afraid.

PEPA: [VO] What really makes me afraid is to commit to something that I can't change tomorrow. To kiss on the same couch for the rest of my life. Sharing a mortgage. In a joint tax declaration or in a…. 'we have to talk this afternoon'. Or choosing a school or a place to retire.

Silvia arrives to Pepa. DL kisses Pepa as Silvia kisses Paco. Silvia and Pepa face each other. Pepa mouths to Silvia that she's beautiful.

PEPA: And suddenly, all that terror, becomes the adrenaline rush of a roller coaster speeding down an incline. And that's real joy.

MEANWHILE – the bad guys begin their strategic planning.

AT THE CEREMONY – Pepa and Silvia stand before the OFFICIANT:

OFFICIANT: We are gathered here to for the purpose of uniting in holy matrimony Maria Jose Miranda Ramos, and Dona Silvia Castro Leon.

THE BAD GUYS start spreading out with their weapons.

OFFICIANT: And now we're going to begin with the vows in front of myself and the witnesses.

THE BAD GUYS begin to cut wires, cutting off reception.

The officiant presents the rings. Silvia smiles excitedly as she prepares to put the ring on Pepa's fingers.

OFFICIANT: Maria Jose Miranda Ramos, do you consent to enter into matrimony with the lady Silvia Castro Leon?

PEPA: Yes. I consent.

The bad guys beat some park police and take their uniforms. They fan out over the premiter, surrounding the unknowing group.

OFFICIANT: Silvia Castro Leon, do you consent to enter into matrimony with the lady Maria Jose Miranda Ramos?

SILVIA: Yes, I consent.

El Gordo happily watches his cellphone reception die.

OFFICIANT: Having witnessed your consent, and with the power invested in me…

The men fan out.

EL GORDO: Let's begin!

OFFICIANT: - I now pronounce you united in matrimony,

Silvia and Pepa smile, thrilled, and kiss as married women. The group erupts in cheers.

A car is headed into the area. The imposter alerts El Gordo.

BAD GUY: A car is heading for the wedding, I repeat – a car is heading for the wedding!

EL GORDO: Relax! Identify him.

The car stops, the bad guy does what he's told.

BAD GUY: Your identification, please.

The guy in the car hands it to him, as the celebration goes on. The bad guy phones it in.

BAD GUY: Attention, it's Lucas Fernandez, from the CNI. He's with the CIA.

EL GORDO: Good. Let him in. The more the merrier.

BAD GUY: Okay.

He hands the badge to Lucas and lets him go.
