Part Five

Its was about 2:30 by the time Olivia got back to the squad room. She was relieved to see that Munch and Elliot were gone and Fin was sitting at his desk going over a case file. She really didn't want to be grilled about why she was late coming back from lunch, and she knew Finn wouldn't pry, well, at least not right away. He looked up from his folder, gave a nod, and looked back down at his desk.

Olivia nodded back, set her jacket down on her chair, and went to the coffee machine to make her self a cup of tea. While she was waiting for the water to heat up, she checked her watch to see how much longer she had to wait till Alex came by. She sighed rather loudly and continued to wait. This did not go unnoticed by Finn He watched her by the coffee machine, he noticed that every few seconds she would check her watch and grow a little more impatient every time looked to see what time it was.

"You got somewhere to be, Liv?" Fin asked nonchalantly, keeping his attention focused an Olivia's body language.

She turned to look over at Fin, who was looking right back at her. "No, no I don't have to be anywhere. Why do you ask?" she said, taking her tea back to her desk. She looked over at Fin as she sat down, who was now giving her the 'yea right, Benson' look.

"Oh, I was just wondering. You seem a little antsy, that's all," he said, looking back down at his desk.

Olivia looked at Fin for a few seconds more, checked her watch one last time and turned her attention to her case files.

3:30 pm at the courthouse

Alex stepped out of the courtroom smiling. She had won her motion. She was going to see Olivia in an hour and half, and couldn't wait. As she made her way to out of the building, she called her assistant to make sure that she had picked up the shirt and the card. After her assistant reassured her she it covered and that it would be waiting for her on her desk when she got back, she thanked her and hung up the phone and continued making her way to her office.

It was approaching 4:00 p.m. by the time Alex set foot in her office. She nodded hello to her assistant, who was on the phone. When she opened the door to her office, saw the shirt right away, sitting on her desk just like her assistant said it would be. However, what she didn't see was the person sitting in the chair with their back to her.

The smile disappeared almost instantly from her face. She knew exactly who it was by the color hair and the style of the brief case sitting on the floor next to the chair. She took in a deep breath and closed the door loudly so that person in the chair would look toward the door.

Sure enough, it worked. The slam of the door startled the intruder, who looked straight at the door. Alex just stood there with her arms crossed and a cold expression on her face, staring at someone who see thought she would never see again, someone that she didn't EVER want to see again as a mater-of-fact.

"What the hell are you doing here Andy?" she said flatly while walking to her desk. She set her attaché down on her desk and sat down. She looked straight at Andy waiting for answer.

Andy smirked at Alex's directness and was slightly amused at how she was acting.

"Is that any way to treat your lover, Alex? Now, where are your manners, really?" Andy said, winking at Alex.

Alex was less than thrilled to hear Andy refer to her as such; she scoffed at the implication that they were still 'lovers'. Alex leaned forward, placing her elbows firmly on her desk, and gave Andy her best courtroom glare.

"Again Andy, what the hell are you doing here? And don't you dare call me your 'lover' ever, and I mean EVER again!" she said sternly.

Andy was a little taken-aback by Alex's sudden burst of anger. But it was somewhat understandable considering how things ended or was left between them. Andy took a second and sized up the ADA. Andy moved a little closer to the edge of the chair and looked carefully at the blonde ADA, who was growing exceedingly impatient.

"I was in town. I thought it would be a good idea to stop by to say 'hello', and see how you are doing. And mainly because, believe it or not, I just wanted to see you Alexandra. I have missed you a lot," Andy said, trying to gauge Alex's reaction.

Alex just stared at Andy. She was feeling so many things. She felt anger, hatred, and resentment toward Andy. With everything that happened between them, how could Andy just walk in to her office and say these things to her, acting like nothing happened. Of all the times in the world, and of all days, Andy picked this one to come back into her life. She couldn't believe it, she just couldn't believe. There were so many things she wanted to say to Andy. Alex took in a deep breath and looked down at her desk. She saw "the shirt", the one that she 'owed' Olivia from other night. Alex smiled and pulled the shirt and card toward her as she began to fill out the card, practically forgetting that Andy was there.

Andy was a little confused by Alex's actions, but was happy to see Alex smile. Andy couldn't help but stare at the blonde. If it was possible, she looked better than ever. The smile on Alex's face quickly faded as she looked up from her desk to see that Andy was indeed still there looking her up and down. Alex glared at Andy.

"Well, I'm afraid you have wasted your time in coming here, Andy. I'm happy to say that I'm in a very happy relationship right now and I do not have and will never have intension of getting back together with you," she said, reaching for her phone. She paused a minute to see how Andy would react before she beeped for her assistant to come in.

Andy was a little hurt that Alex was with someone else. Andy took a deep breath and replied.

"Well, Alex, I don't know what to say. I mean, I should have known you might be involved with someone. But, I did come back here for a reason, several in fact but the most important one being you. I want you back in my life, Alex. I know that what happened between us, what happened with my leaving you didn't deserve. And, I'm sorry," Andy said, getting up and moving closer to Alex's desk.

"But Alex this is 'US' I'm talking about. We were great together and I know we can be that way again," Andy said, looking Alex dead in her eyes.

Alex stood up from her chair and moved so that she was standing right in front of Andy.

"For the last time Andy, I DON'T WANT YOU. I am with someone else who cares very deeply for me, and who I care very deeply for as well. And just so I can make my self perfectly clear, there will never be an 'US' again. So, would you please leave now or do I have to call security and have them escort you out of my office?" Alex said just as her assistant knocked on her door and came in.

"What may I do for you, Miss Cabot?" the young lady asked.

"I need you to take this to the Special Victims Unit and make sure that Detective Benson and only Detective Benson get this," Alex said, handing her assistant the shirt and card.

"No problem I'll get it there right away. Is there anything else you need, Miss Cabot?" she asked eyeing the stranger that was standing in Alex's office.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, could you see Andy out please. I have a lot of work to do," Alex said.

"Yes, of course. Would you please follow me?" she said to Andy, who in turn looked at Alex to see if she was serious. Alex was dead serious; she was already backing at her desk looking at folder.

Andy said goodbye and told Alex that they would talk again soon. When Alex didn't respond, Andy picked up the brief case by the chair, took one last look at Alex, and left.

Once Alex heard the door close she stopped what she was doing and looked up. Andy was gone. She felt a sigh of relief run through her. She leaned back in her chair and checked her watch. It was 4:15. She let out a deep sigh. "45 minutes until I see Olivia," she said to her self. Thinking about Olivia brought back a smile to her face, and she forgot all about Andy.

5:00 pm at the Station house

Olivia and Fin came back from a crime scene that they didn't need to be at in the first place; so needless to say, they were both in a good mood when they came back to the squad room.

As they walked in to the squad room, Olivia saw a young redheaded woman leaning up against her desk, talking with Munch and Elliot.

"Hey, there she is," Elliot said, motioning to the entrance of the squad room.

The young lady smiled at Olivia and started toward her. Elliot and the others watched as she handed Olivia the shirt and card, softly whispering that she was to give this to her and only her. Olivia nodded, thanked the women, and watched her as she left the squad room.

Olivia walked to her desk and sat down. She looked at the shirt and smiled. She knew exactly who this was from, who else would have give her a white blouse. She placed the shirt down on her desk and opened the card.

Olivia,

This is one of many shirts that I will owe you. See you soon.

-A.

Olivia's smile grew wider as she read the card. She didn't even notice that the guys were all standing around waiting, for her to tell them who sent her the shirt and card.

"So, who sent you the shirt, Liv?" Elliot asked playfully

Olivia just looked at all of them and shook her head.

"Nice try guys, but you're not getting any details from me on this one. Sorry," she said, placing the card in her pants pocket.

"Awww, come on, Liv, give give," Munch said, leaning back on his desk.

"Yea, Liv come on tell us." Fin said teasingly.

Olivia smiled and looked at all three men, who were dying to know who sent her the gift.

"Sorry, guys, I'm telling," she said, chuckling softly.

"You're not telling what, Detective?" said a new voice from behind her.

"Hey Alex, you're just in time. Liv was just going to tell us who her Secret Admirer is," Munch said, rising his eyebrows at Olivia.

"Oh, really? Is that so, Detective?" Alex said, walking up to Olivia's desk, taking a leaning position next to Olivia. She made sure that Olivia had full view of her legs.

"And who might this person be?" she said, moving closer to Olivia, who was checking Alex out.

" Sorry, Counselor" she said, looking up at Alex. "I'm not telling," she said, leaning back in her chair, head tilted to the side, looking Alex up and down.

"Okay, what did this mysterious person send you?" Alex said, moving from a leaning position to a sitting position on the corner of Olivia's desk, making her legs a little more accessible to Olivia.

Olivia licked her bottom lip and let her eyes wander over the curves of Alex's legs. Olivia leaned forward and locked eyes with Alex.

"It was a white blouse and a card," she said, huskily.

Elliot, Munch and Fin were just standing there, watching the exchange between Olivia and Alex. They were confused and intrigued all at the same time. They couldn't help but wonder If Alex and Olivia were flirting with each other, or just being overly friendly.

"Hmm, how incredibly romantic," Alex said teasingly. "What's next, a pair of pants?"

Olivia laughed softly and placed her hand on Alex's thigh.

"Only if tonight goes as planned, but I think I might be the one who is going to be giving this time," she said emphasizing the word giving while she gently squeezed Alex's thigh.

When Olivia put her hand on Alex's thigh, Elliot's, Munch's and Fin's jaws dropped to the floor. They couldn't believe what was happening. All three men kept their eyes glued on Olivia and Alex, who seemed to be in their own little world.

"Oh, that sounds like a promise, Detective," Alex said huskily while leaning forward.

"No, it's a guarantee, Counselor. One I fully intend to deliver on," she said smiling.

"Really, and just how do intend to do that, Detective?" Alex said, almost whispering.

Olivia removed her hand from Alex's thigh, pushed herself out from behind her desk, and got up. She stood right beside Alex, leaned in, and whispered in her ear. Olivia took a few steps back, winked at Alex, and headed toward an interview room.

Alex gathered up her attaché and followed Olivia into the interview room and closed the door behind her.
